I posted a comment on Tank's 4,000 STT thread about it costing me about $2 every time I go for a pee. I've been thinking about that since and reckon it may well cost me much more than that.

I play up to 8 sngs at a time, usually $33 buy-ins. When I go for a pee and perhaps miss a premium hand and therefore a good opportunity to double up that could well be the difference between winning a tourney and bubbling. Potentially losing me over $200. Between 8 tables, I imagine that will happen more than 1% of the time so maybe it's costing me as much as $4 or $5.

My strategy so far......

1) Pee before starting a session. I thank my Mum for this one as she always made sure I went for a pee before a long car journey.
2) Timing. Obviously I want to go when my games are all in non-critical stages. Not always possible but I do my best.
3) Use my time bank. I like to stall for time just before going to pee. Then when I can fold on all my tables at once, that's the time to go.
4) Mad dash downstairs while stubbing my toe, pee as fast as possible while turning sink tap on. Listen to computer bleeps. Flush loo, wash hands, run upstairs carrying towel, stub same toe, then click madly on all 8 tables at once.

If I'm lucky, I've only timed out on 3 hands.



So, Your strategies please. How can I further reduce my liquid losses? I look forward to some inventive answers  :D

Move your computer into the bathroom, you can get rid of your chair and never miss a single hand again.

Nice idea. Don't fancy the image of being electrocuted while on the bog though. Might take some explaining to the Ambulance crew.

these are all the range in the jungle apparently - who knows when i win a bit of money in poker later this year i may treat myself to one rather than using the hole in the floor.

For the purposes of two hands while you pee, you can live with a little overlap surely?



Health and safety directives in the workplace regiment that no-one should be at a computer for more than 4 hours without a break. (or so the missus tells me when she feels neglected) A more disciplined break regime may help.

I don't go down this route, but I have trained the missus up to "baby-sitting standard" at sit n gos. If they are at non-critical stages, I wash my hands at leisure, with soap and everything.  :D

Normally I go for the laptop approach- take through to kitchen- make snack, need toilet rest it on cistern- try not to spray when aa apears on 2 tables. I have actually been known to play whilst in the bath- quick hairwash in between hands etc.  I do limit this to 4 tables however.

I am struggling at the mo as on crutches- non weightbearing- so carrying laptop is a no no. My son does babysit  the tables while he is up- i will happilly go out for half hour and leave games with him at other times anyway- which is fine until he goes to bed. I have considered the  bucket approach but have settled on less tables, less fluid intake and mad dashes when mtt on break and other tables show poor starting hands in late position, allowing timebank to give me leeway. not ideal but seems to be working at the mo.

barring that you could get catheterised (which for those who dont know involves a bag attatatched to a tub which is inserted up the end of your.........nuff said- probably only for the most dedicated of players)

Play wearing a wetsuit - keeps you warm too.

I have an ensuite bathroom, it's rarely a problem to get a quick leak in during a long session of multitabling if you chose the right momment.

I must say i use the darling could you look after this for me approach while the good lady is up.
The only other solution is plastic bottles, just line them up not that i would do that ;angel;

you come to a point in your poker life where u have to ask yourself summat. Do you really wanna win the sng or do you want a dry seat.
I made my choice and im happy with it
