Title: Ding Junhui
Post by: Sark79 on January 20, 2007, 04:26:35 PM
Does anyone know how to pronounce this or more accurately, which bit is his first name and which is his surname?

Every player has his surname next to the scores on TV, but he has Ding next to his score.  Does this mean his surname is Ding or is this his first name?

I have often wondered this about Chinese names and have seen this sort of thing before.

In china the name at the beginning is the last name.
His family name is Ding.

I am looking forward to the game, but it is sad it wasn't later on in the event.  I think Ronnie will take it,  Ding will still remember the last match with Ronnie.  That it tough to just forget about, he got slaughtered.

lol I don't know, I'm not being stupid here am I?

I made a boo boo yesterday, I saw Phil Taylor was 1000.0 on BF to win against Ronnie, and Ronnie needed 81 to check out to win, Taylor was not on a check out.  Anyway,  I stuck £2 on before I realised that the games were 7-6 to Ronnie and that the best outcome for Taylor was 7 -7!  Forgot they did draws :blonde:
