Steve Templeman is the man in trouble and was down to his last 11k, blinds 2-4k when Mark Lowe raised to 11k in the cut-off and Steve looks down at   2h 2c  in the small blind

He calls all in and is up against    Aspades Jh

Slow-going on the final table. First Steve Templeman moves in from the cut-off and gets no callers, then Mehmet gets a walk in the big blind.

Next Tina raises to 24k in EP and gets the blinds.

Finally Mehmet min-raises (he does this a lot) on the button, Ariel Adda calls in the small blind and calls a 10k bet on the Jc 4h 6s flop from Mehmet before check/raising Mehmet's 10k bet on the Qd turn to 45k getting the chip leader to pass,

Just been speaking to one of the Luton dealers and they'll most likely be introducing a running ante in their next festival in April. Hurrah!

With the blinds 3k/6k Andrew Georgiou moves all-in from early position for 29k (he's rockier than Red, in fact he's Crimson). Mehmet Cinar looks him up from the BB with Qd Jc, and finds he's way behind the Ks Kh of Georgiou.

Board:

Jh 4s 6h Kc Ts

Georgiou up to 62k. Mehmet still has over 300k though.

Andrew Georgiou moves all-in against for 40k after Mehmet's preflop raise to 15k, Mehmet calls with Ad Js against the Th Tc of Georgiou.

Flop:

Td Ts 8s Qd Qc

Pretty conclusive huh?

Next hand Georgiou moves all-in after Tina Jordan's EP raise to 24k, everyone passes, he shows Aces.

I think Mehmet has lost about 200k of his 367k final table starting stack.

Cinar raised to 30k in second position with the blinds now at 4-8k

Ashworth in the BB with  3d 3h said afterwards "I just did not put him on a big hand, he'd been losing a lot of chips and I didn't think he would call"

Sadly for him Cinar had  Qs Qd, which held up without any dramas when Cinar called for the remaining 60k

Ariel raises to 25k in EP, Mark Lowe re-raises it by 38k more. Ariel dwells for a couple of minutes before moving in, Mark insta-calls with Kd Kc. Ariel shows 9h 9s.

Board:

Massive pot, over 300k goes to Lowe who is now chip leader, and has been insensitive by ruining my chips counts. Ariel has around 30k left.

Ray Iley raises to 30k with 45k back in early position called by Mehmet from the blind.

Flop:

Ahrt 4c 3d

Mehmet checks, Ray moves in, Mehmet calls.

Ray:

River:

So the backdoor King flush isn't good enough and Ray Iley is OUT in 6th place winning £4,180

Andrew Georgiou has doubled through Mehmet Cinar

Mehmet makes it 25k in EP, Georgiou pushes to 95k total

Mark Lowe passes reluctantly  Ac Jh

Mehmet calls the extra 70k  8c 8d

Georgiou has  Ks Kh and hits a  Kd on the turn to win convincingly

Ariel Adda is OUT in 5th place winning £6,510

Short stacked Adda pushed from the small blind with 4c 4d. Tina Jordan insta-calls with Qc Qs in the big blind.

No help on the board for either.

Ok, I said think positive...someone obviously has a sense of humour... I want to explain this next hand.... but I can't. Really.

Blinds are 6k/12k

Mehmet raises to 37k on the button. Tina Jordan moves all-in for 194k, she has him covered by 6k. He calls all-in with......Ahrt 8h. She has Ks Kh.

Board:

Jh Qc Ad 8s Js

Tina's last 6k goes in next hand in a checked down pot between Mehmet and Mark. Where Memhet's Qd 4d is good enough against the Ac 2h of Tina to scoop.

Tina Jordan is OUT in 4th place winning £8,830

so here's a biggie

Mark in the SB makes up with  Jd 6s

Mehmet checks with  Jc 8c

blinds are 6000-12000

flop

 7c Jh 9c

which is a huge hit for both players

Mark bets 20k, Mehmet calls

Turn

 5s

Mark bets 30k, Mehmet raises 30k, Mark Calls..both have top pair and a straight draw, Mehmet has clubs for back-up

the river is interesting

 Js

giving both trips

Mark checks (I suspect knowing Mehmet will bet, so he is trapping)

Mehmet bets 45k

Mark check raises all-in

Mehmet calls

and becomes monster chip leader with trip Jacks and the 8 kicker playing

Mark has under 200,000 left

Tighty and I are now doing 5 minute stints in turns at the final table, it was 15 minutes, but we think staying out there longer than ten would cause a lethal dosage, and we daren't take that risk...

So in my 5 minutes....

Number of times Mark steals from the button: 2
Number of times Mehmet is given a walk: 1
Number of times Mehmet picks up pocket 8's: 2
Number of times Mark raises and Andrew wakes up and moves in: 1
Number of times  I overhear someone talking about the final and the words 'paint' and drying crop up: 3

Mark bets out 16k into a 48k pot, Mehmet calls and Andrew passes.

Turn:

Big hand now, raised preflop to 60k by Georgiou has about 210k back, with Mehmet having the rest.

Flop:

7s Kc Jc

Georgiou check calls Mehmet's 50k bet on the flow

Turn:

5d

Again Georgiou check calls another 50k bet.

River:

9c

They both check, Mehmet shows Jh Tc whilst Georgiou mucks his Aspades Qs.

This left Georgiou with just 110k with 10k/20k blinds which he duly put in the next hand with Td 8d and was duly called by Mehmet's Ahrt 7c...

Board:

6h 4s 3s Jh Qc

So Andrew Georgiou is our 2nd place finisher winning £18,600

Which means....

Mehmet tells me he has only played before in the Casino Cosmopol in Stockholm. Turkish by descent he has been living in Sweden for most of his adult life.

Whilst he is over in the UK visiting he decided to play a comp or two and alighted on this festival. He wanted to try poker in a different country because he " always plays against the same players and I wanted to see what it was like to play others"

He has never played online.

His quest to expand his poker horizons has clearly produced successful results!
