Title: Pokerheaven WSPO Freeroll
Post by: PokerHeaven on September 21, 2005, 05:17:32 PM
Hi guys,

Thanks to Robert HM for alerting us to the previous thread.

The Poker Heaven team would like to apologise for last night’s cancellation of the World Speed Poker Open freeroll. This was due to a problem with our MTT server and we deeply regret any inconvenience this may have caused any of you.

We have rescheduled the tournament for this coming Thursday. The start time will be 19:30 GMT and registration will be open from 9am on Thursday morning. The same format for the tournament will apply, with the winner claiming a seat at the World Speed Poker Open – the heat will be filmed in London next Monday afternoon, 26th September.

I do hope you can participate in Thursday’s freeroll event.

Good luck!

Josh Thomas

Our customer service team will be refunding ALL rebuys and add on's - although the Christmas Party kitty idea sounds good!  ;)

Good of you to take the time to come on and face your unhappy customers. I was not in it myself but I think it is totally unfair to the people who had huge stacks (gambler on here for intance). Sure many will be happy with getting rebuys refunded (ie the people who were out already) but the players left in with big stacks are being penalised IMO. I know it is difficult for you and it is hard for you to please everyone but I feel some other solution should be found (could the tourney not be restarted from where it was when the fault happened?). I think the least you could do is compensate the chip leaders/ the players left in with some "free" money into their accounts, either that or maybe a freeroll for all the players who have emailed complaints to you (I am sure there will be many).

Would love to say that I am protesting after the previous qualifier but I am actually going to go and win my grand prix seat at bolton tomorrow. Didn't realise how close it was and about time I got my seat I think.

When you get there, tell Ian the cardroom manager, that "the fish" sent you.

HERE HERE Ariston... I do know that it is a thankless task dealing with these complaints but alot of them are just, i feel!

What happens if the chip leader at the time(not me) cannot play tomorrow! He has spent 1hr+ for nothing, and has been penalised thru no fault of his own!

Some sort of gesture would be a big help towards regaining the trust of your customers and future ones!

Sadly ill not be playing in this as its on P'Stars and i cant transfer money via NETeller, so i can only play tourneys on Betfair.

I really want to play the blonde heads up tourney ironside but I am afraid the 250k pool of the grandprix has lured me. I need to win my seat and I am not going to leave it until the last minute to qualify when everybody else is trying to.
You have a tricky situation to deal with here pokerheaven- a simple freeroll for all those who feel wronged would show you really care about your new customers and also show you are trying to compete with the other big sites ( I have been paid compensation from a site when they had problems and I was a big chip leader- a refund would not have been enough).

Hi Ariston,

I fully understand how frustrating it would have been for those who were still competing and as some way of compensating we will be looking into running another freeroll tournament (after tonight's one) for all those who were affected. As soon as I know any more details regarding this - emails will be sent out to those players.

For all those competing tonight, good luck!

Fair play to you pokerheaven. I was not even in the event so I am not one of the concerned customers but it is good to see a firm trying to do something to make up for a problem.
