Title: Re: this is class Post by: Highstack on January 24, 2007, 01:52:58 PM He beats 33 22 and 32 !! Unreal.
I also agree that your play was absolutely shocking. Why on earth would you do that? He had to be just about the only opponent on this planet that could have called you and been behind. This begs the question, was he your dad or your brother? Title: Re: this is class Post by: fergus8 on January 24, 2007, 02:22:16 PM i put him on a five throughout the hand.
so my bet on the end is a bet that he "cant" call without and ace , poss even king or queen. also he was on a blind in an unraised pre flop pot. he checked because his FH had just been counterfeited which i was right. still not a good bet, in terms of stt survival tactics but enough of that , enjoy it for what it is, a superbly brave calll ;karabiner; ;mexicanwave; ;letsparty; ;thankyou; :dd: ;sexybanana; Title: Re: this is class Post by: boldie on January 24, 2007, 02:32:23 PM i put him on a five throughout the hand. so my bet on the end is a bet that he "cant" call without and ace , poss even king or queen. IOW...I stuck a donkeys bet in on the river but got away with it? lol ;) Title: Re: this is class Post by: fergus8 on January 24, 2007, 02:45:57 PM so what would u have done?
check and llose the pot 19/20 or bet and win ? Title: Re: this is class Post by: UpTheMariners on January 24, 2007, 02:50:35 PM so what would u have done? check and llose the pot 19/20 or bet and win ? bet and win 1/100 times Title: Re: this is class Post by: fergus8 on January 24, 2007, 02:52:08 PM he has to call first, and i dont put him on high cards at all- i think win 4/5
Title: Re: this is class Post by: Bazzaboy on January 24, 2007, 02:57:09 PM You have to bet river imo given the size of the pot unless you are happy to let him take it down with 85o (obviously he would call with this but we have to assume opponent knows what he is doing.)
Title: Re: this is class Post by: fergus8 on January 24, 2007, 03:18:26 PM i was starting to think iid re produced it wrong
Title: Re: this is class Post by: Highstack on January 24, 2007, 03:19:28 PM I agree Bazza, but there is a difference between a bet and a jam. Absolutely no need to risk going broke here. If he jams ott, then even if he is at it, you can pass and put it down to "well at least I took a stab at it", but all in just a truely horrible play (although not as bad as the call!)
Title: Re: this is class Post by: boldie on January 24, 2007, 03:21:57 PM you've stuck in 270 why would you stick in another 745 in the hope that your oppo won't call with say Q5 K5 etc? the blinds are only 15-30. Sure your oppo made a disastrous call but I really don't see the need for the push here.
Title: Re: this is class Post by: fergus8 on January 24, 2007, 04:07:44 PM pot sized bet approx
Title: Re: this is class Post by: fergus8 on January 24, 2007, 04:09:17 PM also he checked to me, id only check in his spot if hes given up the pot
Title: Re: this is class Post by: Royal Flush on January 24, 2007, 07:51:09 PM Why did you flat call the flop?
