I would probably fold here .

You are healthy in chips , why get involved and your flush draw may not be good.

If his FD is no good then his pair is ahead though...

Very True, but I am at a loss as to where I am in this hand - it would be a fold for me with those chipstacks and blind levels.

lol exactly.

Made it a cheeky 2500 more, make it look like you want a call.

I had a very similar hand yesterday in brighton, i am sitting well above average as is 1 other player in the pot and there are 3 on about average. I have got myself to the flop from EP with  2d 4d its come 7d 3d 4c my aim here is to get my stack in whilst i have some FE but also to build a pot first. The only question is how do you build the pot so you fire the big bullet, in my case it was a simple check raise. In your case its a lead then a 3 bet, you have got to your desired destination so pump it in.

I did end up 3-betting it to 2.8k, unfortunately he pushed and I had to call, he had the yiketastic K-9 and I missed.

I can't just flat-call since he'll shove the turn if I miss.

Would anyone try checking behind him here?

I still do not like the 3 bet myself, other than all in - put the pressure back on him.

I personally would fold because :

1) It is a Blind vs Blind confrontation, unraised for a VERY small pot - he could have practically any 2 cards

2) Stacks are deep.

He limped from sb to bb. Raise him pre and pass if he comes ott. It can save all this hassle and putting your head through the mixer :)
