Your large PFR makes me think he can only have a pp, so probably a set.

me thinks the same unless you have any info on him

A set was what I put him on aswell - hense the check fold to his bet of $85

No info on him whatsoever

Only $60odd invested, if he has outplayed me then fair play to him. Next hand.

tx

Large pfr could also mean that he thinks you are raising out all those limpers and that even if he is behind, then for $13 he has the implied odds to try and flop a set from any pp. Many players go broke with overpairs at $1/$2 and a 6 high flop could bring in many more hands than a set, particularly if he thinks you have AK.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a set, but only your notes and the hands you have seen him play will tell you his style and whether he would go broke with just an overpair. That said I still pass too, as you are out of position and will be facing turn and river bets in addition to this one.

if you put him on the set why did you call on the flop? only to fold on the turn anyway? unlikely that you will spike a king

flop bet is so weak though you make it easy for him to outplay you here. he probably doesn't even give you credit for kings and puts you on AK/AQ. so i wouldn't be so sure he has a set. he cant really put you on a draw given your preflop raise so why would he bet so much on the turn? i  think he either has 55, a lucky two pair or sweet fuck all.

Yes this was bothering me.

Once I played the hand back, the postflop bet was too weak - giving him EVERY chance to outplay me.

Oh well, chalk it up to another mistake.

You were out of position, you can't ewin every pot. If he has out-played you on one so what? If you continue calling here, it could cost you your whole stack. I suspect he might have been making a play some of the time here, but KK is not the hand to go broke with in this spot.

Indeed. Outplayed me for $60 - but I cleaned him out in the end ;)

I dont think the preflop raise was ott either. Just over what was in the pot. If I raise less, then once one person calls, more often than not, they ALL call.

Also, rightly or wrongly I am trying to minimise my big losses (as well as maximise my big wins)

I have lost so many big pots with over pair to the board in the past, alot more than I have won with them.

I am not a cash player, but those are exactly the spots where Pokertracker can help.

Yes I use Poker Tracker and have done for some time now - great tool for showing you where you are leaking money.

I review my 2 hour nightly session as soon as I have finished that session. PLaying back most hands to see where any errors are creeping in.

Also usefull to add notes, as this can be done at your own pace and NOT while concentrating on playing.
