Title: What do you like here? Post by: TightEnd on January 27, 2007, 11:13:37 PM Hold'em NL ($2/$5)
Table "Toowoomba" Seat 2 is the button. Seat 2: hottub1 ($506.25 in chips) Seat 3: Kingfaruk ($324.60 in chips) Seat 4: hero ($527.25 in chips) Seat 5: Guldmun ($817.50 in chips) Seat 6: buscape ($500 in chips) Kingfaruk: posts small blind $2 hero: posts big blind $5 ----- HOLE CARDS ----- dealt to hero [Jd Js] Guldmun: calls $5 buscape: raises to $25 hottub1: folds Kingfaruk: calls $23 hero: calls $20 Guldmun: calls $20 ----- FLOP ----- [6c 8d 9h] Kingfaruk: bets $100 hero, with two others to act including UTG limper and original raiser does what? all three foes are solid players I respect. In the sessions with them to date I have not seen them get out of line much This influenced my decision not to pump it up pre-flop multiway Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: Rookie (Rodney) on January 27, 2007, 11:17:49 PM fold then. you obviously called preflop with the intention of playing it no set no bet stylie? Pass.

Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: thetank on January 27, 2007, 11:20:34 PM I think you've got to raise to eliminate players.
Playable pot, but you'd like to continue heads up (and of course not too sad if you win it right there) Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: tantrum on January 27, 2007, 11:23:48 PM seriously though, was this scenario normal? raising and most of you call every now and then, or whether most folded when one of you raised and so on?
Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: TightEnd on January 27, 2007, 11:25:19 PM All of you pushed and you hit quads.... no its not one of those. and yes I was playing it "no set no play" style, conservatively however interested on the various thoughts of others Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: totalise on January 27, 2007, 11:36:52 PM fold
Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: doubleup on January 28, 2007, 12:41:33 AM You played the hand to hit a set. You didn't, so now you fold.
Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: kinboshi on January 28, 2007, 12:45:05 AM Easy fold.
Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: thetank on January 28, 2007, 12:46:49 AM If this is an easy pass, I'm glad I don't play cash.

Just thinking the same thing. eh ditto at lower levels im hanging around,up at this height i may pass.... Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: boldie on January 28, 2007, 12:42:08 PM I think you have to reraise preflop. Now I'm taking Kingfaruk for an overpair as I doubt he'd bet the set. It's a very tricky one but I reckon I'd probably fold here. flatcalling is definetly not an option so unless you're willing to risk 300$ on this (King faruk only has 200$ behind and you'd have to stick him all in to isolate and maybe get him off the hand) it's a fold.
Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: TightEnd on January 28, 2007, 05:26:39 PM I folded (a conscious decision...no set, no play against three oppos, one of whom comes firing out $100 OOP on a connected flop)
utg and orig raiser fold too $100 flop bettor wins uncontested Title: Re: What do you like here? Post by: kano on January 28, 2007, 07:40:33 PM Please re raise preflop, so much dead money out there and it makes the hand so much easier to play.
As played, pass flop. |
