Title: Sky help Post by: wader leg on January 28, 2007, 07:22:00 PM Can anyone recommend a wireless sender for letting you watch sky in another room, I'm thinking of getting one as I can't be bothered to lay cables all over the place. I'm a bit worried it might get interference from my wireless broadband though. Does anyone have any ideas?

So I ditched the wireless, and went for homeplug instead - which sends the internet connection through your mains wiring circuit. The digisender is fantastic though. The picture we get upstairs, and in the kitchen is pretty much perfect. A question on homeplug though, do you have to be plugged in to the mains for it to work? it's just that i like playing poker in the bath (I have a little shelf to rest my lappie) and I don't fancy getting fried if I have a mishap. The homeplug box is plugged into the mains, but it's connected to the laptop via a normal cat 5 cable. I've played in the bath, but with the computer safely situated where it's safe from coming into contact with any water. |
