Hmm interesting - I suppose that it could be to our advantage to keep the short stack alive.  I would make it 1600.

raise for me. even though I would have to show when we wouldboth be all-in I think the flatcall and check it out here as the massive CL is a negative play. The side pot (which you would get if BB folds) would also more then cover your actual bet.
If you lose the pot there's nothing lost and if you win it you get the dosh. BB will most likely fold unless he has a very good hand as most people here only think about scraping into the money.

The hand prompted some discussion at the table, I thought it was a relatively straight forward raise.

Both the medium stacks were capable of laydowns to stacked up nutters in future hands.

For me, it's one of those hands where you're rooting to lose the mainpot to the microstack. Only two players stood to gain from the bubble bursting, and neither of them were called Zeus.



I raised, big blind folded.

Microstack shows rags too, pot was split when two pair came on the board, but micro was eliminated the following hand.

Even though, to be eliminated in 4th. Zeus will need a hand that beats yours, but still loses to the micro. Also, you think his range may be as wide as any two cards.

Ax, Kx suited, and any pocket pair.... Apart from micro stack, I am in the hotseat to gamble arent I with less then half of chip leader no 2 stack.

that would be dependent on you, the player who moves all-in, ussually any pair will do for me. You're guarantueed third if shortstack doesn't take the main pot. There is no reason not to call if you hve a half decent hand and you think Zeus is at it.
