Post by: The Camel on January 29, 2007, 11:14:46 PM
Has anyone tried black farmers sausages? (available at Sainsburys)

They are absolutely bloody delicious.

Don't say I didn't tell you.

Are they like Black Pudding but in sausage form?

Not yet but I love sausages so next time I'm in Sainsburys, I'll check them out.   Are they in the regular sausage section - part of the Taste the Difference?

They are a brand of sausage.

There's a website I just discovered: http://www.theblackfarmer.com/

Pure culinary heaven.

The best meat avalible on the market is this. Including Sausage

blackbrook-longhorns.com

Not the cheapest but the quality is superb. Once you have brought this
you will never buy meat from a supermarket again.

I butcher friend of mine let me have a go at making my own sausages once, under his guidance and using his equipment.

The finished product looked like a miniature gang of arthritic geriatric male ballet dancers, but they tasted great.

Linda McCartney sausages are top quality.  Two pancakes and two LM sausages with lots of brown sauce, yummmy. I am actually making myself want some now  :D

Not enough black farmers in Scotland to meet the demand. Are they as big as they say?
