Title: world heads up champion Post by: KOConnell on January 31, 2007, 04:38:44 PM I see the American's are doing it again for the past few year's there as been a World Heads up championship event in Barcelona and with a truly world class field players from the UK America Europe and Australia have competed and the eventual winner crowned But that does not seem good enough for the Yanks so there having there own and calling it the same thing so it looks like now we will have TWO world heads up champion's they will be telling us next its there game and they can do what they like ( they probably can lol) if it was the other way round I'm sure Jon Shoreman (the guy who started and runs the WHUC) would be getting a visit from the HEAVIES or at least a solicitors letter I hope Jon can do the same and send the heavies round to them lol

Having a $130,059.66 buy-in regular NL comp some time this year called the World Poker Championship or some such to crown the "World Champion." Hold it in a casino, not an aircraft hanger at the back of a casino. Buy-in would inhibit many non named players in the field, likely that a named player will win it. So come the autumn there's two world champions. One is John Gale, the other a previosuly unknown traffic warden called Jeff Kowalski. Who are most going to recognize? Title: Re: world heads up champion Post by: Bigfella on January 31, 2007, 08:18:55 PM Surely keithyb is the true world heads up champion? After all, the blonde heads up tourny must be recognised as the official championship??
