going by train for our daughter's 3rd birthday. Is 2 nights 3 days going to be enough to see most of the stuff that a 3 year old would want to see or would 4 days 3 nights be better? Seems like 2 of the days are only half days really cos of the travelling?

There are two parks there now so i would normally recommend two full days, one at each park. Having said that if she is only 3 you will not have to queue for the "scary" rides unless you go on them yourself of course.
It also depends on your travel times as you could cram a lot in one one day and then leave late enough to come home. I guess I would say go for 4 days but if you only have three you can still see enough to make it worth your while.

A day at each park is perfectly adequate if you're good at getting up in the morning, and then an extra day for going on your favourite rides again. If you go for four days the damage to your brain might be irreparable. But have a lovely time!  Disneyland's great. ;mrslime;

Have they got cash machines there that take maestro cards? Is it worth changing up lots of euros before we go or best just to get them out there?

As far as I recall they're committed to letting you spend your money on souvenirs, candy, and Mickey Mouse ears however you'd like to.  I think therefore there are cash machines. 

If there's no queue for Space Mountain, I recommend going on this repeatedly until one builds up.  Have a great time.

OK first things first, Its really expensive, We spent 4.5K for a 3 day holiday there a few years back, and there are now 3 parks, one is a park/shoppingmall  so be aware.

My advice is plan what you are doing the night before, Get a  map of the parks from the hotel reception and decide where you are going and howlong you are gonna spend as time is against you to get your monies worth.

Sample the pancakes in room service, they are the best pancakes i have ever had!!!!

Que for an autograph at your peril, it detracts from the fun of the place, the autographs are highly forgettable and not worth wasting the time, My kids don't remember meeting the characters or having received an autograph.

Very important, dont stand for any French rudeness, if they are rude be doubly rude back and you will receive better service " crazy innit"  but true non the less.

Be aware of the times of shows, they are worth the time and are awesome, if you can get it on your camcorder , do it, it's a definite keepssake for the kids and they will watch it if you plonk them in front of the telly with it on.

Ensure you set your watch to CET  just so you don't feel like a fool when you miss everything.

OH and when they keep the park open for guests of the hotels, take advantage of the extra hours without Que's and daft tourists.

Last but not least, Have a good time and if its a birthday tell the restaurant staff and they will supply a free birthday cake.

We went there for my oldest daughers 4th birthday, we stayed at the Admirals Club and it was phenomenal, but pricey, also the wife thought the minibar was complemenary !!!   lol


All that being said it was worth every penny for that one moment when she realised she was in Disneyland, the look on her face was one I will never forget.

BTW, charge everything to your room and have them deliver what you buy to the room, it saves you a lot of trouble carrying things around and its a free service.
