It's just possible - well, probable acvtually - that blonde will carry a Live Update from the Main Event at Southend, which is tonight & tomorrow.

El Blondie, Red-Dog, Stuart Nash, Burnley John, Chubby Nowab, LondonPokerGirl will all be playing. And Poker 425 will be there, too.

I got a call last night from a blondeite who offered to run the Live Update for us (Jen is unavailable - family wedding), & we got last minute approval from the Casino Management, so, providing we don't have any technical issues (we normally sort these things out weeks in advance) a Live Update there will be.

And as soon as I bust out of the comp, I will assist.

Oh - who's offered to be our Live Updater? Cochester Ke.......

Yeah, sorry abouit this peeps.

First, the Viodafione dubree could not get much of a signal - mobile phones in the cardroom could only get one "bar", then Management said we had to go away. As I said at the top of the thread, we normally book these things weeks in advance, & do "tests" to ensure we can get signals, Wi-Fi, or internet connections, & we did not do this on this occasion, it was all a bit last minute.

Not got to Live Updates yet Kev. I logged off blonde Friday dinnertime when I trotted off to Southend, & just logged on again when I got back home Saturday evening - about 700 posts had come in during those 30 hours! And the saddo that I am, I have to read them all. I'll get to the Live Update section shortly, but in the meantime, I'm grateful to you Kev for making the offer, just a shame it did not happen.

WE did our best, you did your best, it's just one of those things. A great shame, 'cos it woulda been great fun.

Meanwhile, I am just working through the UK Poker malarky. Jeez, what a NIGHTMARE. Just when everything is going well, out of a clear blue sky, THAT littlle problem lands on the Forum. Not sure how I am gonna handle it, but this place ain't about to be hijacked, I promise.

yeah, that is a strange one, not sure how to take it !!!     its a sort of catch 22 situation... IMO it comes down to the question of whether he is making any sort of financial gain or not, when is spam not spam etc etc ...  although if he had been a regular reader as a guest on the forum he should know that his first post would be greeted with suspicion and rightly questioned, and if he has never visited the site before then i would question his motives for posting it, and wonder how many other forums got the same offer ??/

It will also be very interesting to see whether the people that have emailed him suddenly start getting loads of "special offers" through their mail ??
