Title: bpl Omaha comp
Post by: Colchester Kev on February 02, 2007, 07:56:25 PM
In response to a few requests, we will be running a

$10 omaha freezeout on sunday 11th Feb at 8.30pm.

This will be available for registration in the next few days, I hope as many of you as possible will have a go at this.

Also we will be having a $30 NLHE freezeout at the end of the month and will be running 3 sats a week at $3 a pop to allow everyone a chance of qualifying.... we also hope to be adding a significant amount to the prizepool.  More details as soon as i can confirm dates.

If you havent got a blonde poker account yet (shame on you) ;)

I appreciate the praise, but you must concede that it may take more than a few seconds for me to win.

PLO freezout...pah, no fun. Rebuys and addons....surely.

Tomorrow, a Freezeout, but we can do a rebuy another week if the demand is there.

Rebuys were what killed Omaha Tourneys in the UK Fessies as the deep-pocketed rebuy-merchants made it unfair on the regular guys. I sat in a £200 Omaha Rebuy at The Vic & Mr Jac Arama plonked £3,000 on the table, pushed all-in every hand, & was first out. Yes, GREAT value, I know, but most guys don't have that sort of dough, so it's not a level playing field.

Many of the blondes prefer to play at the lower limits, so a Freeze is the best course of action for them.

I think many of us adore them, but it's the deep-pocketed rebuy merchants who ruined them.

I enjoy them aswell but i don't think the game translates well to a tournament.
