Title: 2000 GUINEAS
Post by: booder on February 02, 2007, 09:21:21 PM
Cockney Rebel

won his debut race and ran 2nd and 3rd (twice) in extremely valuable races later in the summer. He is generally 33/1 for the 2000 Guineas, , and word from the stable is that he has wintered well, grown into himself (he was dwarfed by most of his conquerors as a two-year-old) and is something of a good punt at the odds, each-way. Take advantage now, because if he gets there, he'll do justice to your faith.

you can still get 40-1 in some places..though betfair is only 26-1 so there are more people on.

I will be surprised if Tefilioor one of Aidan O Briens horses doesn't win this..but they are not much of a price.

I wish I had more faith in the Colonel - but a touch is a touch.

Thankyou sir, and a fine shout.

Hadn't seen your tip, but someone on another forum had tipped me and my brother to back it.  I didn't have huge amounts in my betfair account (withdrawn most of it, unfortunately), but put the lot on Cockney Rebel to win at 42 today 2 minutes before the race started.

:)up

Funny thing is, could have got 66 on it during the race when it was running at the back!

If I'd seen the tip from Booder as well before the race, I'd have put my house on that horse.

Missed this Tip vvwd booder Any tips for the 1000 guineas?

i was going to back Treat if she had had a warm up race, but her long absense prevents me from backing her.

i think there may be some each way value with...

Barshiba at 50's if she settles

Blue Rocket (out of rock of gibralter)  needs to improve but has assistance of jockey with good tactical knowledge    33/1

Vital Statistics  if she gets the trip (uncertain but quite possible) 150/1 could be huge

Puggy          vastly overpriced IMHO at 200/1
