i have 22k chips, 2nd level after re-buys ended blinds 300-600, lying around 4-5th in comp top 9 get paid (52 left), there are 2 players with 15-19k chips on my table 1 with 14k rest are smallish utg raises to 2100 to play he is a loose aggressive player he has 11k in chips fold round to be on the button i look down to find Ad Kd , i decided to isolate ( Sb has 9k BB 7k ) and re-raise to 9100 total (2100 with 7k) all pass round to seat 1 who flat calls the bet, what hand do you put him on ? the flop came Tc Jd 3s he checks i obviously stick his last few chips in he calls, he flips Aspades Jc need i say more ? he eventually went on to win the comp, i finished 5th which after that hand i was happy with Title: Re: do u play this any diffrent ? Too many bad beat posts on here recently, I actually wasted another 30 seconds of my life reading that that I'll never recover. Im sure we could all post alot more horrific ones than this and they still wouldn't be interesting.

Post by: Hairydude on February 11, 2007, 01:20:02 PM Sometimes I actually quite like reading bad beats stories- thats the sort of tormented soul that I am- it also lets other people see that it happens all the time-not some universal bad luck god doin these naughty things- but I do agree that there should be a separate thread for them as they should not be in poker hand analysis unless it is about strategy and not just a moan-sometimes I have posted the odd bad beat(I think we all have at some point) but I'm always lookin to improve so while I recognise that it may have been a bad beat I also ask people opinions if it could have been played any better and did I do anythin wrong(I dont post anything like raised with pocket rockets and ended up all in but got F*&^() up the A&%$)
So how about it mods-can we have a separate thread entitled "bad beats and other typical moans"?? |
