Title: Pairs Aces and Live cards Post by: doubleup on February 07, 2007, 12:46:17 PM Common situations in the late middle situation of a MTT 1) You have say 12k and pick up Ax on the button and make it 2400 3bbs Your opponent moves in for all your chips, how high will your kicker be before you call? 2) You are in the BB with hopefully live cards e.g 78s - the button makes it 2400 to go and you have him covered - what do you consider in your decision to move in ot not. OK 1) Almost totally player dependent. If your read tells you you're behind then it's a clear fold. Otherwise AJ+ could very well do. 2) Whether he can still fold and whether he's habitually been raising from the button. Edit* p.s. I'd be MUCH more inclined to shove in situation two then call in situation one. 2) if the guy can pass then push is an option, id rather call and push regadless on the flop than pre-flop tho incase he has a 10J etc that he will call pre and fold on most flops ( flop 456 rainbow i wouldnt push lol ) |
