Title: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Swordpoker on February 08, 2007, 10:11:38 PM You correctly put the guy on a draw. Then.......
This guy is great value. Am looking forward to future tourneys with him. Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Royal Flush on February 08, 2007, 10:27:35 PM i'm calling all day long in his boots. I'm check raising all in on the flop! Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: KingPoker on February 08, 2007, 10:33:51 PM He was 54% favourite on flop!
Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Swordpoker on February 08, 2007, 10:37:18 PM He was 54% favourite on flop! And on the turn? If he raised on the flop it would have made sense but he waited until he missed and for me to push before getting his chips in. Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: KingPoker on February 08, 2007, 10:42:41 PM had the open ender with the turn card. went down to 36% on turn
Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Swordpoker on February 08, 2007, 10:54:27 PM had the open ender with the turn card. went down to 36% on turn And he called a massive 480 bet that I made into a 270 pot. Called 480 to win 750 with 36% chance. That's huge value in my book. Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: thetank on February 08, 2007, 11:02:38 PM At least the title gave us a clue here ;D

Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Swordpoker on February 08, 2007, 11:04:38 PM At least the title gave us a clue here ;D You took your time ;) Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: thetank on February 08, 2007, 11:05:22 PM I was upsetting people elsewhere, needed a minute to dial it on down.
Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: thetank on February 08, 2007, 11:20:12 PM How long you getting on at the heads up anyway?
Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Swordpoker on February 08, 2007, 11:33:57 PM How long you getting on at the heads up anyway? How long? I'm plugging away at the $34.50 turbos. I'm enjoying them and I know that long term I'd definitely beat them. No idea what my ROI is going to be like as I imagine the swings are going to be huge. At the moment I'm sitting at a loss on $0.33 after 45 tourneys. I can play approx 5 tourneys per hour. To match the hourly rate I make in my 18 seaters I would need an ROI of 12% in these turbos which is maybe asking a bit much so I'm not really considering them to be a viable long term option for grinding. Once I have enough bankroll to up the stakes though it might be worth me considering. Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: thetank on February 09, 2007, 12:06:38 AM Good luck.
I find heads up unbeliebvably frustrating, Ghandi would have a tough time keeping his cool I reckon. Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: RichEO on February 09, 2007, 12:11:10 AM had the open ender with the turn card. went down to 36% on turn just a gutshot Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: KingPoker on February 09, 2007, 12:12:36 AM my mistake...odds are still correct tho.
Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Royal Flush on February 09, 2007, 12:15:20 AM I looked for you Sword, ROI over my last 400 is 22% so its doable.
Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Swordpoker on February 09, 2007, 01:10:35 AM I looked for you Sword, ROI over my last 400 is 22% so its doable. I'd stopped for the night and had a bath, sorry you missed me. 22% sounds brilliant, especially if you're talking about turbos. Maybe it's worth me setting a target of 400 tourneys and see how I compare (slightly scared in case I totally embarrass myself). Are these at the same stakes as I'm playing? Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Royal Flush on February 09, 2007, 02:42:36 AM These are on tribeca 8 min levels, 20-40, 30-60, 50-100, 100-200. I don't know how that compares to the stars starting stack/clock.
Those 400 are almost all $100 HU's. Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Post by: Swordpoker on February 09, 2007, 07:21:10 AM These are on tribeca 8 min levels, 20-40, 30-60, 50-100, 100-200. Right, I feel a challenge coming on. Do you think your 22% ROI is sustainable? Or is this an example of how big the swings really are in HU :D 12% will be the magic number for me. Anything above that makes it more profitable than my main game. I am very comfortable with my usual sngs but there is not much room for improving my profit unless I can change my game onto bigger and better things. Title: Re: Dontcha hate when...... Yeah yours are deeper but a faster clock, that wouldn't suit my game so much. I have built my game around the tribeca structure and players. I reckon keeping over 20% is very possible at the 100's I see no reason why you can't clear 12% once you find a good style/rythm for the the stars players/structure. |
