Chips went flying in on a Kd Qc 7c board Stoneham: 7d 7h Jeff: Kc 9c Turn: 6s River: 5h Jeff loses around 4k of his initial stack since his opponent was short (but hadn't taken his double chance yet either) Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on February 10, 2007, 08:09:40 PM Biggest hand of the day thus far occurs on table 1, and Karl Mahrenholz (runner up in Bolton) is the recipient of a bad beat.
Mateyboy makes it 800, Karl smooth calls with his Kings and so does one of the limpers. Flop = Jh 4h 6c The initial raiser moves all-in for around 6k, Karl calls, and, after a lenghty dwell, so does the other player, admitting he has a draw in the process. But it's not the draw you're thinking about, because he casually turned over 5-7 for the open ended straight draw. The initial raiser has A-J, but he's dead when Karl Turn another King, but then so is he when Mateyboy makes an unlikely straight with an 8 on the River. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 10, 2007, 08:13:34 PM Greek Jack vs B Johnson
I arrived with Greek Jack having moved all-in on a Td 7s 9h Kc Jd board after Johnson had bet the river. Johnson eventually called. Greek Jack. Qc 8c B Johnson. Kd 8h Jack doubles up. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on February 10, 2007, 08:13:51 PM 4 limpers, Flop = Q-7-7 George Geary moves all-in for a massive overbet of several thousand (only a couple of hundred in the pot!). Of course, Ash Hussain is sitting pretty with Q-7 and makes the call. Geary's 7-4 looking rather tender. Turn and River were academic and Ash has shot up to 15k. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 10, 2007, 08:24:31 PM Blinds are now 50/100.

Virtually dead on the 4c 3c Kc Flop in fact, he mucked his Kh Td (they revealed it later) and, not wanting to hang around for the Turn and River, made his exit pretty sharply. Greek Jack had Qc 5c for the Flopped Flush. Nick Slade claimed he folded Kd Qd. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 10, 2007, 09:39:34 PM Thewy is down to 6k, he had a Jack on a J-J-x board but ended up out-kicked and had to pass A-J on a A-J-x-K-x board when he was raised on the turn and passed to a sizeable bet on the river.
Mad Turk is on 6k too, he says he hasn't had any hands all week, but Snoopy just pointed out that if he needed hands, "he wouldn't be Mad Turk then." Last hand before the break, (blinds will be 100/200) when we come back, El Blondie moved all in for around 7k and Ian Woodley called with Queens, the blonde one had Kings and doubled up. Incidentally Woodley was apparently the one who said they had to play this one last hand before the break. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 10, 2007, 10:16:18 PM Matt is down to 12k after running two pair into trips (A-J vs. 5-5 on an A-J-5 Flop). The same player took massive pot off Martyn Cavanagh, calling his Q-Q down ALL the way, only to spike a gutshot on the River. As a result, the once chipped up Martyn is also down to 12k. ------------------------- Simon Zach just pushed all-in against a Mateyboy bet on a Kh 9c Jc board, Matey dwelt before passing his Aspades Ks face up. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 10, 2007, 10:23:57 PM Nick Slade in a pot against Mateyboy.
Board: Jc 7h 9d Matey checks, Nick bets 1,025, Matey check/raises to 3,075. Nick re-raises to 6,600. Matey passes his Jd 7d face up. Nick shows 6d 3d Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on February 10, 2007, 10:25:46 PM Nice tidy fold from Michael Greco.
Three-handed with Iwan Jones (small blind), Dave Clayton (big blind) and Michael Greco (trap 2) all reaching the River of a 8h Ts 9s 5d 9d board. With 2.2k in the pot, Iwan checked, Dave bet 600, Michael made it 1,600, Iwan folded, Dave moved all-in for 8,225 and Michael folded 5h 5s for bottom full house. Dave revealed his hand to his next door neighbour before mucking, but Chris Gavriel asked for them to be turned over. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 10, 2007, 11:47:54 PM Julian almost doubled up...but didn't. He had A-T vs A-8 but the board came with a 7-7-J-Q-x meaning he had to split.
Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on February 10, 2007, 11:56:48 PM Julian Thew is OUT.
All folded except a reluctant big blind (Keith Swayne) who made a smooth call with Aces. Keith checked the Qd 7s 5d Flop, Julian moved in for 3,125 and Keith called. Julian showed Ad 4d, but the flush didn't come into fruition. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: snoopy1239 on February 11, 2007, 12:18:09 AM Keith Swayne -- 15,400

Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 11, 2007, 12:39:31 AM And the 6 duffs have now sounded as Michael Greco moved all-in with A-Q only to find Tim 'T8MML' Blake's A-K behind him, a 3-T-7-8-J board offered no favours and he is now OUT.
----------- Mick McCool is fuming after his stack was sliced in half by a young Mateyboy. Mick got his chips in (4k, 25k, call) with A-T vs. A-6 on an A-6-T-5 board. 6 on the River. Mick down to 20k. Title: Re: Broadway Festival: Day 1 - At A Glance Post by: NoflopsHomer on February 11, 2007, 12:47:46 AM El Blondie is OUT,
He bet 3k on a 8d 9h Tc board and got set in for another 3.5k by S. Javadi (4th player she's knocked out, including cracking A-A with 8-6), he didn't like it but had to call.
