No! The structure has been tweaked to be the same as we used in rehearsals, that is to say, less aggressive. So tonight's 3 hour show may end up as a......4 hour show! (Will we get paid extra, one wonders?......)

We are just taking a break from rehearsal (yup, I have to rehearse to look this bad), & I must say, Kara Scott is in tremendous form, bouncy, bubbly, bright & breezy. She is something special, I tell you.

If they can calm my nerves, it should be a tidy show.

OK, Good Luck all who enter, the structure WILL be a bit slower, lets see how that works. As "Sky Suit" said "you talk, we listen".

OK, I'm off to make-up & wardrobe. Who'd have thought it?

Surely this thread and the threads that have been going on since thursday? should be in internet poker. and before some smart arse says "oh you can play it through the telly so its not internet poker" you are still online so to speak.

Also, although i have not been one to slag off the structure, software and i have been quite supportive in my comments do we have to have a thread everyday about this. what if we had a crypto £8k thread every night or a tribecca $20k thread or a stars $55 rebuy thread or a ...you get my drift.

Tractor  :redcard:  :redcard:

Kinboshi  :redcard:

Booder  :redcard: :redcard:

InTheBelly  :redcard:

Note additional  :redcard: for Carrot Crunchers.

Look, I was in & out of Make-Up within 20 minutes. Lady said I had a very special face, so there. Wardrobe was a bit more complicated. I bought the Plum Jacket Jobbie with me, but there was a protest walk-out by the Wardrobe Staff when they saw it, so I've had to revert to Plan B, my posh Linen jacket, that always looks unironed. No class, these wardrobe girls.

OK, gotta go, looks like a long show tonight.

Toodle-pip.

PS - Look out for Kara, she looks wonderful again.

It's the formative stages of a whole new venture, new channel, new way of playing poker (via your TV), and Sky have asked the blondes to help, via feedbck, with ideas & suggestions to help make the show better, hence the daily threads right now. They will revert to the "Internet Poker" Board  in due course. But we are pleased to help Sky out, & so are many blondes, so just bear with us please.

they were left here as it is new, has attracted a lot of interest and for feedback purposes as both Mr SkySuit and tikay have acknowledged

I expect the threads will be on internet poker soon enough

I don't suppose there will be anything like a daily thread in due course but we have no problem if people want them...up to the forum members what they post.

Yes you can, you need to ping a manager (ask for Lyndon) and know the FULL real name and the user name of the person you want to transfer money to, i think their is a minimum amount .

i like the advice given out on show, if someone reraises you HU when you have 1010 the all in push is good play as only 5 hands that can possibly beat you?
And its 220 to 1 its AA. I think some of the players on here will branch out onto the net so it will bring in new blood

Q4 vs 66

flop Q 4 6

You're right about it being difficult to play your own game and the all in re-raises earlier were good play and made me lay down hands that I maybe would have called with if I had just entered for a tenner at home.
You were fairly low in chips yourself but with an all in and a call in front of you already, to call with K 7 is a little questionable for a player of your undoubted quality is all.

I watched the end of the show last night.

Tikay, you asked for feedback.  I haven't watched any previous shows, but I thought the hand analysis was too slow.  I realise that some hands need a bit more explanation than others, but I thought the graphics took ages to run.  I prefer the more real-time analysis of ~cough~ the other poker channel.

Other than that, I thought you did a great job.  Like the jacket BTW   ;);joestrummer;

Thanks MAF, noted. I have a "clicker" to operate to run the Hand Analysis in stages, & I got myself in a bit of a mess with it, slowing things down. Next time, it'll be like greased lightning!

The jacket - yup, Prince Charles has an identical one.

Just wanted to add that although the structure is still very fast, the small tweak did make a difference.

I also thought that Tikay was far better than the previous 'experts' (where's the brown-nose smiley?), and loved the in jokes that only Blondes will appreciate.  Also loved the collar and cuffs comment.

Well played to all blondes who cashed :)up

I caught bits of the show last night as Tikay was making his debut. I have to agree with MAF i thought the show in general was a bit too jerky and some of the hands which really weren't that interesting seem to take an age to be played out, to be honest this was rescued by Tikay's efforts at entertaining the audience. I also found the whole layout abit uneasy on the eye ,maybe it was tikay's jacket.

I will be honest i prefer the way poker night live approach this genre, sorry.

No need to be sorry, horses for courses & all that. But I do agree with you up to a point - we need to get slicker. We will, trust me.

I noticed the clicker, didn't notice it the other nights, was someone else progressing their hands?

It was still a bit slow IMO, but I think you went through them faster than the previous presenters and had a few more gems to talk about. Nice show, you pulled it off ;) You and Kara are certainly the best match up yet.

When are you on next?

I think Tikay was hoping for Wednesday night, 7:30 at the Italian just round the corner...

I love the way you called her everything but Kara.  ;D

I watched the whole thing, even though I didn't play in it. It's aways a pleasure to watch Tikey commentate and having a laugh, it puts the viewers at ease and makes them gloss over the little tweeks that need to happen (No i ain't after anything!).

One thing that does need addressing though and I don't wish to be too critical is that please have guest poker players with charisma and ability to want to talk on camera. It's really awkward when they simply shy up and don't say a thing, many a time the presenter is left red face when the guest player replies with one word answers. Paul Parker and to a lesser extend David May, I will leave out the others as its not easy and they will grow in confidence over time.

The other Experts all have the "clicker" as well, they just handle it more subtly than I do. Technology, tsk tsk.....next time I'll be super-slick.

I thoroughly enjoyed working with Kara, though she's a good friend, & we have worked together on another show a while back.

My next Show will be Thursday, with Richard Orford, then Tuesday next week with Helen Chamberlain, followed by Thursday week with DP Fitzgerald. God willing, that is...... And that's me done for February. But they've asked me for my March availbliity this morning, so maybe I've got away with it for another month. Stranger things have happened, but before Flushy reminds us, not much.
