Celebs eh?
Title: Re: Brits Post by: tikay on February 13, 2007, 10:28:49 PM Oasis still getting away with it? Title: Re: Brits Post by: bolt pp on February 13, 2007, 10:30:46 PM Title: Re: Brits Post by: tikay on February 13, 2007, 10:33:23 PM Oasis = mediocre, & that's just as a Beatles Tribute Band. Title: Re: Brits Post by: KingPoker on February 13, 2007, 10:35:21 PM I agree, i went off them coz they are so expensive but the summer fruits flavour one is delicious. Title: Re: Brits Post by: Sark79 on February 13, 2007, 11:16:44 PM I am not a Take That fan :D , but I am pleased they are the ones getting an award and that arrogant git Robbie Williams is not in the running anymore. He has been over rated for sooooo long, when he sang the Frank Sinatra song is was painful for my ears because I love Frank Sinatra and Williams killed that song
Title: Re: Brits Post by: mex on February 14, 2007, 12:41:07 AM Hurrah for Sark, i hate the fact that RW thinks by doing an impersonation he can sing swing. Sooooo many people didn't get why i hated his rat pack tribute, people said it sounded great, but if you listen to the sort of music properly then williams just grates his way through them.
Title: Re: Brits Post by: Sark79 on February 14, 2007, 01:18:06 AM I used to work in an office with three Ladies who played the CD of him killing some of my favorite songs every single day. In the end the CD had an accident with a chair leg :D . I tried to explain that they weren't his songs and he was killing them, but just the mention of Robbie Williams sent them weak in the knees for some reason and no efforts on my part to educate them in proper music worked, lol
Title: Re: Brits Post by: Indestructable on February 14, 2007, 07:18:28 AM you jammy git - did you win the tickets in that competition? [/quote] No competition win, just a freebie. Sadly not the full works so the tux is staying in the wardrobe. :)up Title: Re: Brits Post by: Indestructable on February 15, 2007, 05:16:13 PM Enjoyed the Brits. Must admit to being a bit ;tk; when some of the nominees were mentioned and I was left thinking who are these people? Also thought a few of the winners were wrong, but that's opinions I guess.
No idea what planet Joss Stone was on, very strange. Only other moan was the number of empty seats. Can only assume that some couldn't use their tickets which was a bit of a shame. Maybe they decided to give it a miss when they realised Russel Brand was hosting ;) Title: Re: Brits Post by: Sheriff Fatman on February 15, 2007, 05:26:09 PM Only other moan was the number of empty seats. Title: Re: Brits Post by: Div on February 16, 2007, 11:45:43 PM Who stole Liam's old singing voice? Seems to have had a new one transplanted via his nose.
Title: Re: Brits Post by: sledge13 on February 17, 2007, 11:42:00 PM I was at Knebworth in 1996 and Oasis at the Brits awful.....the band were great but Liam was like a cockney gone wrong, what the hell was that!!! I bet Noel bollocked him afterwards!
Saw Blur in 1994 and loads of gigs after that Wembley/milton keynes and loads more, a different class...I loved both but after seeing Blur live there was no contest, just a shame Damon Albarn has gone all Sting on us with The Good The Bad And The Queen, hopefully a Blur renuion will happen soon....the most original band since the Beatles.... Oh and any naysayers check out this from 1992, was never played on radio and way ahead of its time..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HlY6rmQfNt4 The song 2 prequel!!!! |
