Title: Ironic
Post by: BigTomatoes on February 20, 2007, 08:32:51 AM
after my last post and the barrage of replies/bashers i found it very ironic to see these 2 hands in a live tourney that night.

1st one was hand i went from roughly 30k to 100 ( all in SB automatically next hand )

 7 handed , im BB , 600/1200.

first 2 fold , MP player ( equal table chip leader ) min raises to 2400 , all fold to me .

 Look down at  4d  6d , i make up the bet .

 Flop -  4c  6h  Ad

i make a pot sized bet of 5k ( about 24k left ) , at this point i reckon if he has an Ace he might push them in.

sure enough he re-raises straight away all-in , i reckon only hand i should fear is AA but i make the call.

he has  Ac Kh , anyway Turn  5h , River  Ks , i was stunned , yet found it quite funny/ironic i would have to come on to

the site and report my Laddies Live river  :D

another one was at the Final table my brother picked up  Ad  Ahrt

raises to 18,000 , one caller - older lady in the BB , flop  8d  Jc  8h.

she moves straight all in for about 25k. he calls.

she shows  Qc  Jd , Turn  Jh , and just as he threw his arms up in disbelief , Bang - River  Ac

rotflmfao , after me sitting here saying you never see these kind of rivers etc live only on internet and TV

very Ironic but also very funny

BigArmo and I used to joke about this when playing in Live tourneys as we were both pokerstars MTT regulars, everytime we used to see someone make a bad call and get rewarded on a lucky river or someone suffer a really bad beat we used to say "its just like playing on pokerstars".

You'd be surprised how many times you actually said it in one night - so then when you multiply into the equation how many more hands you see per hour and then multiply that again by the number of tables you could be playing at any one time its no wonder it appears as though online poker is fixed with unbelievable outdraws and bad beats.
