Title: OT Sky+ boxes Post by: Claw75 on February 21, 2007, 11:16:25 PM well mine has finally given up the ghost. It's fine for watching TV on but unless the box is tuned into the channel you are recording, the playback is unwatchable (sound cuts out every few seconds, picture jumping). As it's no longer under warranty I presume I'll have to just stump up for a new one. Had a look on Sky website and it's £99 for a new box, which is fair enough, but £60 for installation. I have to say I'm not too happy at the prospect of paying someone £60 to unplug my old box and plug in the new one. Does anyone know of anywhere where I can buy a new box and just 'install' it myself?

If that gets you nowhere tell them you'll cancel as you can't afford it. They'll put you through to cancellations and they'll normally try to keep you.
