Call or fold here? Title: Re: Cash Game Hand Post by: boldie on February 22, 2007, 10:37:43 AM Judging by the times of his calls they are pretty much insta calls. He could have trip 6'es but otherwise I don't understand his betting/calling.
I wouldn't be too worried about the backdoor flush unless he has AK of diamonds (but then I would have expected him to raise pre-flop). It's a tough one but I think I'd call and find myself cursing at myself when he turns over his trips. Title: Re: Cash Game Hand Post by: doubleup on February 22, 2007, 12:23:31 PM This is quite tricky as his hand range is huge.
He could have K3 or 75/97 and be bluffing the missed draw. You are beaten by Kdxd Td9d 7d5d 9d7d. I think that I probably call here, but expect to be beaten a fair bit. I would have bet a bit more on the turn as the board is becoming a bit scary. Why can't he have K4 of diamonds? yeah you're right of course..any weak Kd with another diamond could be in here... Fold Title: Re: Cash Game Hand Post by: Spitroaster on February 22, 2007, 04:54:21 PM This hand screams trips. At the outside KQ. For you to win He would have set up a bluff very very quickly or be a poor player who could call of all his money with just one pair.
A swearing tastic fold for me Title: Re: Cash Game Hand Post by: AgentChip109 on February 22, 2007, 08:07:29 PM it really looks like a siuted king to me possibly Kd Jd somethin like that, so an annoying fold for me
Title: Re: Cash Game Hand Post by: Smart Money on February 22, 2007, 09:07:23 PM Is your opponent a serial bluffer? Unless he is, this is a very easy fold to me.
Also, I'd have bet a little less ($30 bet) on the river. I'd be concerned that I was behind after his immediate flop and turn calls, and your 3/4 pot bet is going to scare aware a lot of players who you beat. Title: Re: Cash Game Hand Post by: AlexMartin on February 22, 2007, 11:24:12 PM Nice comment. Also a smaller bet acts as a blocker bet v serial bluffer.
