Title: an over pair and an openender Post by: Table Manners on February 22, 2007, 04:44:41 AM Here's an interesting one.
My plan on the flop was to check raise all in on a semi bluff, representing a set (or i might even be ahead:- any thoughts on weather this would have ben a good play?). But someone got their chips in first. Title: Re: an over pair and an openender Post by: Table Manners on February 22, 2007, 06:24:06 PM thanks for the advice guys. I did call in the end. I was thinking that with 4 players taking the flop, that there was a good chance of 1010+ being out there, but I figured that even if i was behind I still had plently of outs. Also, I felt the big overbet could be a draw looking to take it down there and then. Anyway, here's how it panned out:
DTrain27 bets (87.50) and is all-in ImJustAFish folds HautCuisine folds TwistOfFate calls (87.50) TwistOfFate is refunded (0) turn: [6s] river: [Qd] TwistOfFate shows [9d 9c] for two pair, nines and sixes DTrain27 mucks TwistOfFate wins (219) I would have liked to know what he had, but you can't find out on mansion. Title: Re: an over pair and an openender Post by: Spitroaster on February 23, 2007, 12:53:12 PM I would guess he may have had the 78 here with the river 6 giving you two better pairs. That fits the betting.
