Title: Help Required - ITIN Number Post by: claypole on February 22, 2007, 11:35:39 PM Off the the States again soon - I want to sort an ITIN number before I go - was in a position last year where I did deals to draw just below the $3k twice as I couldnt be arsed with the form filling in and waiting ages.

However, it has been suggested (by Matt674) that you cannot get an ITIN until you actually need it. :dontask: Maybe a phone call to the IRS dept at the US Embassy in London. I was in the Bellagio last year and cashed in a tournament. The tournament director took my details and filled out the forms for me whilst I was still playing on the final table. Got my ITIN number the next day and the official paperwork was mailed to the UK. Couldn't be easier. Title: Re: Help Required - ITIN Number Post by: redsimon on February 23, 2007, 05:50:32 PM You can apply for an ITIN at any time..however if you are going to be in Vegas I'd recommend the Bellagio route mentioned by previous posters as the other method takes ages and can involve sending in your passport (copies not accepted) if you apply by post or making a personal journey to the IRS desk at the US Embassy which is longwinded.

I'm sure it is... but I assume you first have to enter a tournament at Bellagio AND then get deep enough into the money that you would need the ITIN?
