Title: the vic not selling out
Post by: Ironside on September 27, 2005, 02:20:41 PM
yesterday was the first time i can remember that a supporting NLHE event at the vic didnt get near 170 runner, i usually play in a support event at the vic infact this is the 2nd event i have missed at the vic in a row and one of the reasons is that they have pushed the price of the support events upto £1k obviously the vic is the daddy of british poker venues and therefore need to add a little something to the buy ins to make it different from the rest of the grosvenor festivals but is the reason they havent sold out due to the prices going a little too high

i would like to see the supporting NLHE event back to £750 and the PLO d/c down to £500 personally it will make both events alot more attractive

I made a conscious decision not to play..£1k for only 3000 chips and a 30 minute clock...if you don't get chips quick you are stuffed

Bad value

I chose to play the Gutshot festival and the £250 at Luton on Friday

£150 tomorrow, £250 Friday, £500 Saturday

Where's the value? no doubt about it....the Gutshot events are in the rankings too

Ironside/Red Dog...any chance of you making Luton Friday?
