Yes, this is one of those posts.

I've been playing poker for a little over two years now, but only joined Blonde after the first APAT event last September.  So glad I did.

Since I've been on here, I've had the pleasure of 'virtually' meeting loads of decent and amusing people (and a few arses, but that can't be helped really), and a handful of others I've had the pleasure of meeting them in the flesh (so to speak)  ;tracet;.

This weekend's APAT was pretty much as bad as it could be in terms of my poker - didn't get the cards, and didn't play well with what I had at all.  I've been beating myself up about the way I played and I'll guess I'll put it down as one of those days and try and do better next time.

However, that aside, I had a bloody brilliant weekend.  Again the APAT tournament was excellently run, even with the introduction of 'celebrity dealers' ;D.  Great to see Tikay, Des and Tighty again - and everyone there at the weekend appreciates their hard work.  It was also good to see some of the people I met at the first APAT event (Mark, Antony and Jimmy from the final table in Brum who all went deep again this time...whilst I watched from the rail), and the countless others who make these events what they are.  Had lots of people come up to me who I'd never met before, or only in passing, who congratulated me for Brum and wanted to hear about my Copenhagen trip, or just wanted to laugh at me for going out so early!

Then there are the Blondes.  Great to see Brendan again - this time walking about the casino!  How cool was that!  Kev - just as funny and twice as ugly in real life, a pleasure to meet you mate.  Ginger, even lovelier in real life than on here (sorry about the bok)- same goes for Charmaine and thanks to both of them for making Michelle so welcome - especially as I was neglecting her over the weekend.  Great to meet M3boy, Inthebelly (sorry about the bok), RookieITB, Sheriff and the other Blondes who were playing.  Jon MW and duncthehat were on my table and had the pleasure of watching me go out after some terrible play.  Both went deep, so well done fellas.

Then there's the Welsh Blondes.  All completely mad, I guess that's inbreeding for you, but great fellas - Dewi (sorry that I tried to bok you), Sofa,,,,,, and KingP. 

Michelle (my better half) said that the Blondes are a great crowd, you're all lovely people (yes, she's a liar) and that she's looking forward to seeing you all again and I think Charmaine has convinced her to come to the next Blonde Bash.

All-in all, it's great to be a Blonde ;tightend;

I bokked ITB in style - he went from about 18,000 chips (and being amongst the chip leaders at the time) to out in about three hands.  I then went over to Ginger's table to see how she was getting on...and within seconds she's standing up.

So I went over to see Dewi  ;angel; but my bokking skills had run out...

Good post, had a hell of a laugh to be honest even though there were a lot of english people there!

Just like to congratulate the APAT leaders aswell, have absolutely no complaints at all, run so smoothely (apart from my dealer who said they had only given him an hours training before it started-you'd have never guessed!  ::) )

Cant wait for scottie land APAT or BB4 whichever comes first!

In many ways, the atmo at APAT Events reflects that at blonde Bashes, a wonderful "warm" ambience, so I do hope you both manage bB4.

I heard that (minor) complaint from someone else.  But it was tempered with "...but it's better than being self-dealt, so can't complain."  I had a problem with my dealer - he kept on giving me crap whilst giving the same fella AA 5 times (on the fifth occasion, I was all-in against him with AhQh on a Qxx board...

I didn't get a chance to say more than a few words to Karen (with a K).  To be honest I felt sorry for her, and was trying to work out why such a lovely girl was with such a complete and utter........ ;D

Its definately not for my poker ability anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Must say the staff in Caridiffs Grosvenor are a great bunch , Paul and one of the young lady dealers had a " thing " , may of been love at first sight !!!
I really hope Michelles plays at the next bash Dan , as i will be putting my name down and making sure hers is there lol .
Be good if Karen with a K does aswell , we woman could kick some male arse and make them sit waiting for a change  ;whistle;

tis true i had 18k at the first break and was chatting with kinboshi saying how i loved the table and how much i was controlling the table. he said he would come rail me after the break.

within 3 hands of kinboshi railing i was out with KK beat by AJ, QQ by AK and 77 running into
99!

who needs support like that eh?

but all that said what a great weekend and a great bunch of people!
