Even i agree there shouldnt be 4 different posts with basically the same things in them.

What's wrong James, too many people being nice to each other, and saying good things about APAt for your liking?

I agree, this has become the unofficial APAT forums, can't their website have one or make its little own one at the bottom :P

When ever there is a big event the forum is flooded for a few days , but is soon wanes until the next.
You have people who have had a really good weekend and want to talk about it , let them .

They can, on diff forum, just like live events, dtd, tinternet poker. No one's being a killjoy are they?

I think there is a difference between not wanting loads of APAT threads on the general forum and not wanting people to enjoy expressing there delight and wonderful stories about APAT.

Sorry, but this is a community, people are free to start a thread about anything that is blonde compliant.... thats what we are and thats how we will stay.  

Is that true? we still havn't heard why the mansion poker thread that was allowed to stay up on THMF wasn't "blonde compliant".

Many times we have had first time posters complaining about a poker site, this is the first time they have had their post deleted.

I dont even need to go back to the origional thread to remember that he implicitly continues........... "I'll leave the it up to the mods"!

So what was the outcome?

Then express your point in a manner that i might understand, im not too bright you know.

We care about being consistant, and that's what we always strive for, but precedent will not sway a desicion all by itself.

Makes sense to me, the volume of APAT threads, discussions etc 

2) If someone expresses this opinion why do people not infact answer the question, but divert the topic to freedom of speech and being a killjoy?

I love the fact people came on to talk about the weekend, but can't they be in an organised manner like the rest of the forums?

Poster says something bad about mansion just after mansion and blonde have made a commercial deal of some sort, then the policy changes and his post gets removed.......

APAT is totally seperate from blonde, and although tikay & Tighty are invoved with APAT, there is NO commercial tie in between APAT and blonde.

An APAT child board may indeed be already under discussion, but will have to be right for blonde to do it from a business point of view.


By your way, we should have a million boards, a Birthday one ? a TV programme one ? etc etc ... the list goes on.

It's an idea we'll consider for next time the APAT have an event.

Arguments on either side, too many boards is to be avoided if at all possible. We'll never create a new one lightly.

I hear you, but is it really that big a problem? - after all, they will all drop off the front page within 48 or 72 hours when the interest subsides. I am at a loss to understand why it's exercising foks minds so, the threads will all disappear in a day or two. If you could bear with us while our negotiations continue, we'd be most grateful.

Not a big problem to me, I didn't want to make out it was.

Just didn't like the fact that if you express an opinion against the 'grain' your labelled.

I was backing up flushy for the first time ever ever!

An APAT child board would be a good idea as far as I can see.  It'd be great if it became the (un)official APAT forum, as this would attract more people to Blonde.  It's how I found out about Blonde (more ammunition for those who aren't totally pro-APAT ;D).

One point though - not sure it it would sit under live events, as there are also online events (every fortnight). :dontask:

I have nothing to do whatsoever with finance in APAT, so the discussions at the APAT end have nothing to do with me, which I point out just in case someone takes you seriously.....(one never knows).

I resent the implication that I have a one-track (oops...) mind, I am not train-obsessed, I like buses too, lorries (big ones),tractors, sea-horses, bridges, DNA, bacteria, mobile cranes (the big ones where the axles steer, they have to have a little crane with them to help them get erect) & countless other interesting things.

PS - Lervitation is the new trains, I can now levitate.

Please don't mock cranes, it's a serious matter. And it's mobile cranes, not static, though I'm quite fond of tower cranes, though not in a loving or caring way.

Just going back to Flushy's thread (and can't believe I am agreeing with him), he was only suggesting that several threads started on the same topic could have been merged. Seems to make some sense and even though I wasn't able to make Cardiff i would still like to read about the event and don't think there is a need for another forum.

I assume you mean hydraulic backhoe ecavators, "JCB" is generic. Having said that, JCB are a fascinating Company, won the Queens Award for Industry countless times. Started by the Bamford family, but the two sons fell out & never spoke for 30 years, & Joe went on to fame & fortune, though he died 2 or 3 years back. You can go on tours to their factory in Rocester, Staffordshire. They have a huge lake in front of it, which has a colony of Black Swans - very rare in the UK they are. All JCB Company Cars are white, & all have personlised "JCB" number plates.

I could go on.

They were all the same (vectras) until recently too I think...

I knwo this will probably lead to numerous piss takes but who cares, near me we have the royal welsh agricultural show and they have a JCB Dancing digger show where they do loads of stunts with them, its awesome!!!

And also if your into buildings with lakes, check outt he McClaren Building, its got a huge man made lake which they use the water to cool the formula 1 wind tunnel down!!!

PS, i can hardly read what im writing, i have huge bright spots in front of my eyes and its not going away, any ideas what it is (hoping its not a migraine!!!)
