Title: fed up of getting called Post by: sofa----king on March 06, 2007, 03:13:57 PM how can i stop people calling me with sh1t?ive changed my game to rock status.,.and still i read them for nothing make a move and they still call and hit.,.,,.im thinking of retiring for good.,or moving to south africa.,.,any ideas ????
quick eg sunday £250 fo i get 7d 7h antes 50-100 i put in a raise 700 im one off the button,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, button flat calls Qc Qd and 1 more caller after him,flop Aspades Kc 8h i put a big bet in 800 to feel button calls with his queens turn 6s i follow up with 1300 button calls with qq,.,,,,,,river 6h i move all in for 3700 knowing he aint got ace or king .,.,.he calls.,.,im fed up with poker.,.,im taking up something else,...... Also if you got 2 callers that makes the pot 2100+, an 800 bet is not a big bet. Your story in this hand is very inconsistent with a big hand, it wouldn't take much to realise QQ is probably good here. Why re-raise when you will just push the river giving him maximum value for his hand? I don't like his flat call pre flop, other than that the only big errors in this hand i think came from you, bet 1600 on the flop instead of 800 and he would probably pass. I don't see how he knows someone else will call a 7xBB raise though! You can't change other peoples game, but you can change your own, you said you have changed your game to being that of a rock yet you raise 7xbb with a mid pair then fire 3 streets on a bluff, that is not exactly rocky! Calling with QQ on an AKx board is usually a losing play but there are plenty of times where it is correct and this was clearly one!
