Title: Many thanks for advice. Post by: JAXtheLAD on September 29, 2005, 09:47:27 AM Just wanted to say thanks to all who replied and said welcome, played in a mtt on will hills and thought i would give it a try and change my style, glad to say i made the final table, came in at 10th,made 1 bad move due to excess alcohol which killed my stack of 50k,i wasn`t to worried as i had won a sattelite to the 10k and was looking forward to it with my new found confidence.First hand i`m big blind, someone raises 60,sb calls as do i with my 88,flop is kkj, raiser bets 100 which i call,8 comes on the turn, raiser goes all in which i more than gladly call, turns out my boat capsized to his cruise liner,he was holding kj,funny how poker continues to be a love hate relationship, anway thanks again.

Oh, and welcome ;D Title: Re: Many thanks for advice. Post by: TightEnd on September 29, 2005, 11:33:24 AM granted, many people aren't calling with 88 on that flop, but it's mighty difficult thereafter to fold underfulll versus overfull, or for example set under set
Title: Re: Many thanks for advice. Post by: ifm on September 29, 2005, 11:41:13 AM i dunno, if it's cheap enough i will call a bet here regardless of the flop (almost) you are almost always in front if you hit
