Did I not make it clear that I have no authority to sponsor players into events, give them excessive rakeback, or get them free blondepoker T-shirts?

Jen (not Jenny, unless you want a slap) may well be THE most interesting & remarakble young lady it has ever been my good fortune to meet, & I'm hugely lucky to count her as a friend.

The IQ is somewhere in the 300+ region, but her verbal articulation is extraordinary, especially so for an American. Actully, she holds TWO Passports, a Yankee one and a GB one, which saves on queues at Immigration, she leaves the UK on her GB one & enters the USA on her American one! She invents at least one new word every day - I noted "aheadness" this week.

Educated at Oxford, where she got her Degree in Clsssical Languages, very helpful for poker. She was homesick, so left Oxford after a few weeks & commuted fom London fornightly, and STLL got the Degree!

Then she took a job in a shoe shop in Hampstead, which lasted about 3 days, until there was a "mutully agreed" resignation.

As a poker player, she could hold her own with the very best. She was one of the Blue Square "Unusual Suspects" in 2005/6, her colleagues were the likes of Micky Werrnick, Simon Nowab, Stuart Nash, Flushy, At-It Bradbury, Burnley John, etc. They had to play Main Events, & the "worst-placed" got dropped for the next event, They also played 20 or 30 Online Events, MTT's & Heads-Up, over 6 months. She beat the lot of them & earned a seat at EPT's in Deauville & Monte Carlo. In Deauville, on the Bubble, she spurned the chance to earn a minimum €4,000 & decided to "race" with AK, missing. In Monte Carlo she led them all a merry dance & got all her chips by pushing  young scandie guns off hands, they did not have a clue where they were with her, & she built a healthy stack. But thry got tired o this, & when she bulied yet again, a young boy decided to rebully with his 7-5, which was good enough to outdraw her A-A.

If you weant an enjoyble cash game, play with Jen - she & I had one of the most enjoyable times I have ever had in Poker playing a €1-€2 Cash Game in The Aviation, in Paris. On the way home, via Eurostar, we played Omaha for M & M, & I won 4 packets. And Gin Rummy - from whence "djinn" emenates - she is MUSTARD at that game, & will beat anyone pointlless.

Lives in a sort of students commune sort of affair in Hampstead, with life long best friend Dana (a banjo playing busker who is a total fruit cake, another stratospheric IQ-er, & a fascinating lady), occasionally snoops, & a few others.

She is as nicey-wicey as anyone, but nobody messes with Jen, in any form, when she "turns" it's time to skidaddle, she can be ferocious to those who wrong her.

Weighs 6 stone wringing wet, but eats like a donkey.

And yes, extaordinarily beautiful.

We are incredibly lucky to have her.

Oh for God's sake she's just a girl...she cant be that good. She probably got the degree for watching "Eastenders"  Lives in a commune because she cant cook. Tins of beans I bet. Everytime I see her she looks at me with that "oh that's a small stack" sort of look. Actually now I think of it my wife looks at me the same way when I leave the shower.

Sorry I just hate that Jen for sainthood thing. Yes she does miracles with the reports but I once saw her drinking pints of beer in the hotel in Walsall at four in the morning. Now you would never see Mother Theresa doing that. Well not nowdays anyway.

Go girl.

Tikay - I remember meeting yourself and Jen in that cash game!  A very memorable game, 2005 WPT I think, my first time in the wonderful Aviation, terrific banter round the table with about 5 or 6 nationalities represented and at one point Tobey Maguire standing watching after busting out the main event.  I remember you guys joined sometime after midnight and you got dealt pocket Kings about three times in your first half hour at the table!  Also remember a memorable call with king high to win a pot off Jen...  ;)

Great job on the EPT updates Jen - keep it up!  Didn't know you were a master at gin rummy - nice comparison with Stu Ungar.  Hope to see you in some more major tourneys soon.

I think Tikay summed it up nicely.

My quick summary:
Quite simply, Jen is the NUTS in so many ways.

I noticed an article in the latest edition of Cardplayer Europe written by Jen about students.

It all looked good until the last paragraph where she advised students to "Resist the temptation to postpone theyr degrees to play as under-bankrolled online pros"  ;ashamed;
