Title: Medical advice needed.
Post by: brummieboy on March 12, 2007, 02:46:45 PM
Is there any point going to the doctors five days after a suspected broken nose??

Playing football last Thursday, went for a header but headed my opponants head instead.
Normally I come off better in these situations but this time my nose poured with blood for over ten mins. (Teammates were really caring they stuck me in goal and carried on.)
When I got home there was a large cut in the middle of the top of my nose and another cut at the bottom left corner.

I've had quite a few bangs on my nose in my time so didn't seek medical help. However it's still seriously throbbing and can't breathe through it too well at the moment.
Yesterday it felt like I was coming down with a cold as well but when I blew my nose I just get a bad nosebleed.

Shall I see the quack or have I left it too late??????

If your going to go don't bother with your GP, go straight to A+E as thats where he will send you anyway. If it needs resetting they will do it there.

just get it reset and you'll be fine..the breathing thing is rather important.

I got in a altercation playing rugby at my home club, got headbutted - which nicely smashed my nose for the 100th timelol

Went to AE - they told me to go and rest lololololol

I wouldn't bother mate going to the docs, 5 days afterwards they can do very little

Broke my conk 26 years ago, didn't have it re-set, it's been a nuisance ever since. (can't breath through one side) I keep threatening to make an appointment to get it fixed.

Peter Crouch has only just had his opp done & he bust his a good couple of weeks ago, so I think I would have it checked out.......second to a heart beat....breathing's pretty much up there in the important things in life..........after beer & poker that is ;joestrummer; ;joestrummer; ;joestrummer;!

Better to go now and hopefully they can straighten it out for you rather than in a few years going in for it to be broken and straightened  ;joestrummer;

The only, & best option.
