Title: Joey Barton and your parallels...
Post by: TightEnd on March 13, 2007, 03:51:48 PM
No matter whether today's allegations are true or not, he is a player I took an instant dislike to and that has never shifted...

can't stand him!

who fulfils that role for you in the football world?

Roy Keane.

Keane was a little nasty fuker tbh. When he tried to kick alfi at Leeds once and snapped his own leg. He got his revenge a few years later with that 'tackle' that finished alfi when he was a city player, typical bully.

yeah nasty piece of work

just read up on what young Mr Barton has been up to now...

you could say this is what you get when you pay kids a lot of money and adore them..but in this case I think he has always been a little shit.

how difficult is it, play to the best of your ability and take home 40-50k a week.?.why would you want to mess that up
by being an arrogant little tyke.

Dennis Wise.

It would almost be worth QPR handcuffing themselves to Leeds and throwing themselves into League 1 just to spite him.

It used to be Kevin Muscat, im not sure there was a more cowardly dirty player in the league,  a few years back. Now still have little time for Lee Bowyer, think it is that whole short man complex thing, that makes them complete idiots.

I'm a huge Roy Keane fan strangely.

The ones I hate are Thatcher, Diouf, Savage, Neville, Montero, Bellamy (pre LFC), Cantona, and about 5 Arsenal players current or ex.

Bellamy and Pennant, I'm sure Rafa is preparing a bid as we speak. ::)

Roy Keane always a thug and nothing more. As for Joey he is a nice lad and don't know what the fuss is about.  ;whistle;

I wouldnt dispute him beuing a thug, but "nothing more" is daft. He was a great footballer.

Dennis Wise obviously, and more recently Lucus Neil, nothing to do with anything he has done on the pitch,he's just a classic example of the greedy modern day footballer.

Oh - he's done a fair bit on the pitch.  That tackle on Carragher for one - can't believe we nearly ended up signing him.

Robbie Savage is a classic example of someone I loved when he was on my team. When he played against us it was easy to reverse that!

I have an aversion to the following

Neil Shipperley

Geoff Horsfield, and now he is on loan with us

Philip Neville

Bowyer and Bellamy go almost without saying

Christian Dailly

and amongst non current players

Mark Lawrenson

Neil Warnock

Mark Bright

Gavin Peacock

Brian Kilcline

Peter Taylor

and Dennis Wise

Dailly played for Derby, and to my mind has enjoyed an international career despite beibng completely useless.

he has been the main stay of the west ham team for a number of years

personaly i no longer think he gits into the scottish team but think his best role is that similiar to owen hargreeves infront of the back 4 linking to the midfield

but scotland have never played him there
