I'd think about it for about 1/2 a second, and then call.

Even at $1/$2, $2/$4 there are plenty of players who would raise here with flush, straight, and even trip 5s!

You will be ahead here more often than not.

lol @ the IDEA of folding.

As a bit of closure, i called and he turned over 54 for the bigger house.

Folding when you're beaten is a very strong play, despite the odds you may be getting. In this instance there were so many hands i was beating (nut flush, Nut straight,...etc) it was impossible to lay this hand down

I really can't understand how you guys put your money in so easily here.

The eventual all-in player bets the flop, checks when the flush and 4 str8 lands, 3 bets allin on the river when the board pairs and you all think this is an instacall with about the 10th nuts.

i can see where you're coming from doubleup but I can't fold this for 15£ when I already have stuck a tenner in. He could have the nutflush here and hoping to checkraise any turn bets (which I would consider a bad move but fair enough) His protective bet on the flop should have been bigger if he had a set. A protective bet is all it is ona  flop like this and it's a poor one at that. I know it's potsized but at these levels he won't scare anyone off.

If we were talking a high stakes game you can fold this but not at these levels with the usual level of opponents you find on them (no offense to anyone who plays at those levels intended obviously but you know what i mean)

Why do you want to scare anyone off?

I worded that a bit wrong but essentially;

Because this is just about the worst possible flop for his two pair here. I would stick in a slight overbet here and then asses what others do on the flop. The guy (original raiser with the 2 pair that filled up) is out of position. there is soo much danger out there it's not even funny. A small set, straight, and a flush draw. If I had 2 pair there I would want to get paid off immediatly. This time he got lucky that noone decided to bet the turn (again..if you are holding a set in position, like the poster of the hand, for the love of Christ bet out and represent the flush. For the others it could be very possible that you have  a small flush as you called the flop bet so why not bet it and try to take the pot there?

I also think our guy (who got his full house beat) should have reraised the flop for the same reason.
