Incidentally, they sell A&W root beer at Oriental City in Colindale, if you're in the North London area.

They can keep their Mountain Dew, Gatorade, and Tropicana pisch.

Not a fan of their cinema popcorn either. wtf is with this butter? What happened to sweet or salted.

As I was reading this thread I was gonna say Mountain Dew, Root Beer, Gatorade, cinema popcorn, (until Tank laid into each) what else......ketchup crisps (UK's ketchup crisps suck), all dressed crisps, cheetos, ESPN, ABC, NBC, FOX, TBS, CNN, VH1, proper pizza (Greco pizza, 10 minutes from my home IN CANADA or from Pizza Village in the Bronx), Target, proper nachos, proper Bagels (from Long Island NY), proper chicken wings....I could go on, but I am getting too nostalgic.

They take all the sugar that belongs in the popcorn, and put it in their juice.

The only sensible way to have popcorn is with butter. Poor misguided fools over here just don't get it.

The things I miss most are proper waffles (dripping with butter and served with streaky bacon preferably).

Proper fried chicken.

I bought a bottle of strawberry and cream diet coke in Vegas last week.  Amazingly, it wasn't disgusting and is far nicer than Cherry or Vanilla Coke (although Mrs Sheriff disagrees).

Only one thing I wish to God they would start here KRISPY KREME doughnuts...Man they're good!

Dont know whether they still make them but living in Saudi Arabia for 5 years in the early 80's they were a regular on the young monkeys breakfast menu. Scoured high and low for them in UK supermarkets on our return but to no avail :(

(something to do with all the artifical crap they put in them sending our kids loopy  :dontask: - pfffff!)

Automatic machine guns and grenades, have looked around for them here in shops and supermarkets but me no findsy.

I generally quite like the USA.  The country is just amazing and I've had an excellent time every time I've been there.   I for one, could live quite happily there.

Ice Hockey and Basketball great over there, not so great over here.

Channel 5 do, IMO, great american sports coverage for most f year. Get Basketball, Ice Hockey, Baseball and more importantly American Football all year round. Admittedly prefer thesky sports coverage of NFL but i like watching it late at night not 8pm in the evening, dont know why!!!  :dontask:

They do Krispie Kreme donuts in the uk, but they haven't taken off, something to do with the fact they taste like balls of fried sugar.

Lots of things from America can't be brought over here due to laws on food standards, but its so easy to get stuff online.

I do miss lucky charms, banned due to contents, might order some as a treat.

Alot of American culture I really like, alot of the great TV shows of this decade come from across the pond. The food is really awesome and if your rich its like the best place to be in the world IMO.

Gated communities are perfect for us people lacking in any social skills who don't want to deal with trailer trash (their equivalent to Hoodies).

Finally i like the fact that my Yorkshire accent is intriguing to them :)

Its a 2 Quart (4Pints/2 litres approx) bucket of coke..........with ice of course.

Morton's Steakhouses - they call it the best steak anywhere, and IMO it is.

In and Out Burger. Again, IMO the best. They offer burgers, with optional cheese, fries, and a drink bucket of your choice, and that's the entire menu.
