That was superb, inches away from a win too in that last over mate.

wtg ireland now if scotland can just win our next 2 matches we might get a chance to humble the combined might of england and wales

yup, with 3 overs to go and them needing just 10 runs with 3 wickets i thought they didnt have a prayer but then got 2 wickets in 2 overs only conceeding 1 run.

All we needed to do was keep the number 11 on strike for a few deliveries :(

Very exciting but had traded the game all green on betfair and then all bets void for the draw!

Must have lost betfair a lot of money in commision as over £7M was matched on the game. Nevermind got another 50 days worth of games to make it all back, fantastic, I love cricket, I also think its the best gambling sport :)

What does anyone think for the England v NZ game today? I think they are pretty even so a little bit of value in England curerntly (they better be playing both spinners though!) I don't feel too strongly though so I think I will wait to take up a position mid game.

Somewhere in Donnegal, a wish granting leprachaun is being strangled.

This post has made me laugh like a silly thing.

I've just spent St Patrick's night in an Irish pub, full to the brim of people watching cricket on the TV.

Can't get more Irish than that.

Well done Ireland... Had some Kiwi friends over with Irish lineage and thoroughly enjoyed one of the big boys of World Cricket getting a good thumping.

This is definitely the largest upset in World Cup cricket...

A draw or a tie.

Big difference in cricket.

AAAAAAAYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!

Ok, so not quite in the same league as the victory against Pakistan but still for an assosiate member of the ICC to now get a win the Super 8 is unbelievable!

And also as this is our second victory in the tournament to go with the draw against Zimbabwe it means that Ireland now officially earn a place on the ODI rankings leaderboard - meaning we are now an official One Day International team and can play in triangular tournaments etc etc.

Some excellent captaincy and excellent batting and bowling performances giving us a deserved win in the super 8's

COME ON IRELAND!!
