Title: Strange Email! Post by: Trace on March 18, 2007, 06:20:57 PM I'm still awaiting a reply from Mod's to the thread I started yesterday that was moved to the Moderator's Board until someone could answer it!!
Who are Hansagaming.com and how have they got hold of blonde pin numbers and email addresses please?? Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Ironside on March 18, 2007, 06:27:49 PM kev is looking into it
Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: AndrewT on March 18, 2007, 06:28:45 PM It seems they're another iPoker skin.
I don't know exactly how the promo mails work, but I would guess they're done centrally (ie not by Aaron or Kev) and that simply a Hansapoker mail got attached to the wrong mailing list. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Trace on March 18, 2007, 06:33:12 PM One skin cannot access another's skins player info surely???
That also doesn't explain how they have got hold of the Pin Numbers - unless of course blonde have changed cage and not told us or something?? Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: TightPaulFolds on March 18, 2007, 06:35:38 PM One skin cannot access another's skins player info surely??? You could always check the data protection register to find out. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Colchester Kev on March 18, 2007, 06:37:25 PM It is being looked into, I cant say anymore until I know the facts ... but we are aware and will let you know what happened as soon as we know ourselves.
Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Sark79 on March 18, 2007, 06:39:25 PM lol, I was just about to make a thread about this. I sent Kev a PM about it as well as I got the same mail

Post by: Trace on March 18, 2007, 06:41:50 PM Last night I changed some of my personal info on the blondepoker site - i.e. the Mr to Ms and strangely I got a reply from Hansagaming.com with details of my personal info, and acknowledging that I had changed the info.
Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Trace on March 18, 2007, 06:43:35 PM Sark
You will get same mail in German about 10 mins later. It's all worrying. I will freely admit there is no cash on my blonde account, but my sodding debit card details are registered on there. Also, email comes from hanZagaming, but Debbie is on hanSagaming. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Sark79 on March 18, 2007, 06:46:12 PM I think this is some kind of Scandinavian language
Hej Mr ........! Välkommen till vår nya pokermjukvara. Den nya pokerklienten är mycket lik din nuvarande mjukvara, fast mer användarvänlig och smidigare. Mvh Debbie support@hansagaming.com I want a Japanese version now, it would be interesting to see my DangerVegan name in Japanese :D Title: Re: Strange Email! Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: redsimon on March 18, 2007, 07:20:27 PM Anyone emailed the address given in the email?
I just filed mine in the delete bin Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Indestructable on March 18, 2007, 08:07:06 PM Same here, just assumed it was spam and deleted it.
Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: RichEO on March 18, 2007, 08:17:49 PM Some mix up between skins. I had a completely different mix up. When I upgraded my blonde software it got upgraded to VC studentpoker, blonde no longer on my system!
I think the main issue is to make sure blonde are getting the rake for all their players and any contact they send out gets to them all. The other skin probably doesn't know the emails are going out to you and they will be a genuine ipoker skin so I wouldn't be too worried about anyone stealing your details. Bugs for ipoker to sort, and blonde to nag them about. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: byronkincaid on March 18, 2007, 08:20:17 PM what is this PIN number for? I don't think I've ever used it. is it important?

Post by: tikay on March 19, 2007, 02:58:41 AM As Kev says, we are on the case, urgently. We have no idea what the answer is, or how it came about. It goes without saying that we have not given permission to anyone, anywhere, to use the bPL database of e-addys - it would not be in our interest so to do, nor have we sold or allowed access to our database to anyone. For now, we apologise to anyone who's been troubled by this. When we know what's what, we will inform you all. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: suzanne on March 19, 2007, 04:37:14 AM I had a few problems when I did the blonde upgrade and was on the phone to the hansagaming number printed on the website and was put through to a host (Lyndon) who I reconised as a lobby host and someone I knew who worked for Blonde/Bowmans.
Might have been just pure luck or maybe it works like tribeca where every skin still has its own host and call centre, Lyndon was VERY helpful and sorted out my problem the best he could. I found I could use the same cashier on both sites. VC studentpoker must be related to VC so why would it delete Blonde? Title: Re: Strange Email! When the install/upgrade started it had a VCstudentpoker banner on it. It didn't exactly delete blonde, it upgraded it to VC :-\ and therefore no blonde anymore. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Trace on March 20, 2007, 08:42:06 AM BUMP!!!
Any news on this yet please? As I said earlier in the thread, when I changed some of my personal details on the blonde skin, the confirmation I got was from Hansagaming - so they must be something to do with the blonde skin. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: M3boy on March 20, 2007, 09:21:18 AM I got those emails too. Deleted them
Also got 2 more yesterday asking me to goto a website and enter my Pin No - THEY had my pin No in the email! (This was was NOT from hansagaming) At first I just deleted them and didnt pay much attention, but thinking about it, how are they getting hold of our account info?!? Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: Colchester Kev on March 20, 2007, 09:31:19 AM Yes there is news ... below is an explanation word for word as given to us.
On behalf of blonde, I apologise for the confusion caused by this mix up. ************************************************************************* 1) The email from hansagaming I have spent most of the day looking into how the email on the bulk system went from hansagaming. Hansagaming is not an external skin and is the brand used by Bowman International for live testing upgrades and changes. It does have live customers on it but is totally run by us. The Bulk mail system config has been changed with the upgrade to Playtech and for one of the emails telling only people who had to have their user names modified (not all customers) instead of it going from the URL ...@24hourpokerhelp.com it went from ...@hansagaming.com. Hansagaming is effectively the brand used by Bowman International. I know it is a little confusing and the corporate identity will in the future be changed from bowman's to hansa as hansa is just running poker skins. Bowmans.com the brand is now being run by bet365. This wont happen again as the system has been double and triple checked to ensure the mails are set to ...24hourpokerhelp.com. The other point I want to make very clear is that if any of the customers who got the email has signed up with Blondepoker then tried to sign up with hansapoker the system would stop them and our guys would block the hansapoker account straight away. There is no way any customers or rake will be lost because of this. I can also confirm that at no time do any of our skins have access to each others details or customer lists and data is not given to third parties unless it is for identity checking per our rules. To reiterate, hansapoker is a brand run for launching new products by Bowman International and not owned by anyone else externally. This should not have happened and wont happen again. Title: Re: Strange Email! Post by: turny on March 20, 2007, 09:56:38 AM Wow thanks for the quick reply and explanation Kev. If only P4C had done the same when people wanted answers from them!

As I said earlier in the thread, when I changed some of my personal details on the blonde skin, the confirmation I got was from Hansagaming - so they must be something to do with the blonde skin. I got a page with the hansagaming logo on it when I went through an obscure series of events on blonde skin - it is not something to do with the blonde skin, it just seems to me there is a page or 2 that haven't been created properly for blonde and the links take you off to a hansa branded page instead. For me the page was under a forgot password link (and a few more clicks than that). Title: Re: Strange Email!
