Title: Poker playlist
Post by: thetank on March 21, 2007, 05:36:47 PM
Inspired by AdamM, I need help with my own playlist.

No-ones getting married, I'm compiling some up-tempo choons for all night internet poker sessions.
In particular, the 6am-10am needs a few pick me ups.

I need songs that will help turn a tiring tagtard into a fiery lagamuffin who is up for the cup.
I need songs that are going to see me through next month's long hours.

So far I've got (as a wee fragment example of the kind of pisch I'm looking for)......

I don't feel like Dancing - Scissor Sisters
When smokey Sings - ABC
Poison - Alice Cooper
Dignity - Deacon Blue
Grace Kelly - Mika
Jenny was a Friend of Mine - Killers
You shook me all night long - AC/DC
Helter Skelter - Beatles

You heard it? Like Will young's version, but it's mellow and I'm sure thetank would prefer to be woken up by outkast than sent to sleep by Will Young, especially with 4-6 tables on the go.

Saw a Neil Diamond tribute in Vegas last year.

They went absolutely nuts for Coming to America at the end of his set. I wondered for a moment if I was going to get out alive, not a feeling you expect to get at that kind of gig. :)

Can't play music and play poker, personally. Think it messes with my phonological loop: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phonological_loop

Some of my mates study with earphones in, have no idea how they manage this.
