Title: Wireless connections Post by: madasahatstand on March 25, 2007, 03:27:35 PM Hi
ive set up laptop number 1 successfully some time ago. it was simple to do. im trying to set up another laptop to my wirelss connection through the router. it appears to have an infrared wireless device on the 2nd laptop but it wont make a connection. can someone advise if its possible to set this connection up via an infra red device? The infra-red is line of sight from a very short distance, and can be used to transfer files from one PC to another. If you don't have wireless capability on your laptop, you can buy a PCMCIA card that slots in to your laptop or one that attaches via USB. You're talking about £20 or less for one of these I think.
