Trying to buy a poker table, have found them on www.drinkstuff.com but getting it delivered was going to cost £400+. Any ideas?

Adam do you do personalized cloths on beize? Whats the quality and the price?

so far I've only done my own.

It's not on the shuffleupshirts product list because I am still experimenting with it. Tell you what, if anyone wants some baize personalising I'll do it at around Cost+VAT+p&p to get the practice in.

There are some factors to consider when personalising your cloth, If you are considering screen printing, heat transfere or embroidery i would strongly advise against it anywhere on the table where the cards are likely to be dealt across or layed out. People tend to deal by sliding the cards over the cloth of the table so any of the above methods will interfere with the travel of the card, and possibling cause flipping. cards that are laid out ontop of embroidered logos sit unevenly and can make reading the cards awkard from the far end of the table that said Small logos near the rail area and dealer section of a table work well.

the best way to go for a perfect and absolutely stunning cloth is a sublimation printed layout which could be anything to anysize over the whole of the table.

My favourite table to date has to be the betfred table the vibrant red of the cloth with  contrasting colour rail and logo made this table look stunning. Ive uploaded a large picture of it here

Nice one ianburf, 2 questions.

1st. At the moment we get our cloths from TCS, we lent our sister club a table and someone spilt a cup of black coffee over it. Turns out it was 100% waterproof and serviettes moped it up without leaving a trace. Is this some form of waterproof spray or does the whole cloth need to have some form of treatment process?

2nd. Where can I get a TV table with cameras, glass and wiring etc. ? Do you do something like that? If so can you pm me with details and cost TY

Hi Ian, welcome to blonde. I'm a big fan of your tables. so much so there is a link to your site on mine. I'm only set up for heat pressing and, while you're right, sublimation would be much better, the heat pressing is ok and, for those of us who cant afford one of your beautiful tables, enough baize to cover our dining room tables with a design in the middle might have to do.

Rest assured, if ever I'm talking to someone about personalising a cloth and it sounds like they want a complete table, top proffessional job doing I'll be putting them your way.

Secondly in reply to the post about water proofing, I dont know what the make up of the tcs cloth is but ours has a vinyl type backing so no liquids spill through and part of the printing process locks the inks on to the fibres of the cloth and makes them completely water resistant. I know that materials can be treated with scoth guard to make them waterproof but im not sure if that is a practicle way to go.

as for camera tables we do make them with either glass windows or rail cameras, check out our gallery for london wpx.
we made all the tables for this event including a custom shaped camera table. this event will be on bravo tv later this month.
To supply a table with cameras already supplied is a bit tricky, we have had a similar enquirey last week, It would depend upon what the cameras were intended for and what equipment these cameras were to be connected to. As the wpx event was filmed for tv each camera was connected to its own recorder and all recorders were time synced and kept locked away in a cabinet until after the event had finished, the information that those cameras were seeing was worth a hell of a lot of money. the footage would later be edited especially since the final two lasted for 4.5 hrs.

If you are considering attaching these cameras to a computer you would have to have a very powerfull machine(one which probably wont be on the market till 2010) to monitor/record all the cameras simultaenously at a decent framerate i know there is software out there that you can attach unlimited number of cameras to but its the processing of so much information, that would be a stumbling block,
you could however alternate views in a way that security camera systems do and then it would be possible.

Also video mixing desks or a dedicated video system such that is used for security systems would work. If you are really considering installing such as system them send me an email with a guide as to what your intentions are.
