Once upon a time not so long ago, I was wandering through the world of internet when I happened to stumble across the land of “BLONDE”.

Hmmm I thought to myself, this looks an interesting place, I think I will stay a while and have a look. To stay in this land you have to fill in a form and come up with a ‘unique’ name, some of these can be quite strange!! Sometimes ‘guests’ drop by, but because they do not register a ‘unique’ name they are only allowed to read the messages. This is to their disadvantage as they are also unable to view the ‘beautiful scenery’ that beholds this wonderful land.

The people here (transpires they are called blondites) converse with each other by means of computers, leaving little messages for each other on a thing they call “The Forum”.
I tentatively added a couple of my own messages and was very swiftly made to feel very welcome (by the majority), this made me feel very warm inside, almost as if I had found a ‘new family’.

It appears the MAIN reason people inhabit this land is they are all interested in a game called ‘poker’ (a card game where people bet money and try and win more) ( have you ever heard anything so silly!!!!) , I have tried this but unfortunately I am not very good, but it soon becomes apparent that the people here chat about other things as well, in fact they chat about nearly everything in the ‘real world’, to this end, it proves to be very helpful, as if you have a query on almost any subject it is a good bet one of the blondites will have an answer. They are also a ‘very caring’ community, sharing others problems, hi’s and lows, mostly with a thoughtful response.

The ‘land’ has a ‘ruling council’ these people are known as ‘mods’ and ‘administrators’ and control the content of messages people leave and other important tasks. There is Tighty, Colchester Kev (apparently a fat guy who likes pies), Ironside, Sheriff Fatman, Red Dog (this person is so funny with his tales), The Tank, Rod Paradise, Bongo and the ‘prettiest’ of them all a young lady named Ginger. They do a fantastic job of keeping order. (if I missed anybody I apologise now before being reprimanded).

The land has 3 other highly important members, a dog (a very clever dog) named Snoopy, NoFlopsHomer and a young lady named Jen (phworr). Every so often the ruling body of the land send them out into the ‘real world’ and they report back to us about lots of people joining up to play this game known as poker. They work extremely hard and are well respected (rightly so) not just by the blondites but by the ‘real world’ also. They are also joined sometimes on these journeys by other members who offer their assistance.

Then there is Charmaine, a charming lady who reminds us of others birthdays, so everybody has a ‘special day’ thanks to her diligent work.


He is the source of constant jokes from the blondites but he takes it all in good humour, he tends to ramble a bit about trains but I think we have to accept as one gets older…………………………….

He is like a ‘father figure’ to us all and very ‘highly respected’ by his disciples.(the jokes about his age etc show our ‘real love’ for him).

So there we are people, if you happen to stumble across the ‘land of blonde’ do not be afraid to enter, they really are a friendly bunch.

I have been living here on a regular basis for 7 months now, and by writing this piece they have honoured me by upgrading me to a HERO.
