Title: Masters 2007 Post by: Graham C on April 02, 2007, 02:21:34 PM It's this week! Came around quick for me.
Anyone got any thoughts? I'm ashamed to say I think it has to be Tiger but at 2.58 on BF he's not very backable. There's a golf website that provides loads of info isn't there? I'm sure it has a subscription service too, does anyone know it? Really, I'm looking for info on guys like Shaun Micheel - at 670.0, that's the kinda sneeky odds I'm after for this. You know someone will be in the top 5 that is about 500/1! It's getting them that's the hard bit. Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: matt674 on April 02, 2007, 02:58:00 PM i just go to www.pgatour.com for all my stats etc, not really sure they have a subscription service apart from the tourcast feature which follows the players play by play (but thats while the tourney is in progress rather than in the build up). I agree normally about looking for the value in a regular pgatour event - Tommy Armour III this weekend finished 4th alone at odds of 750/1, i know because i saw them and though "wow, that could be value" before backing Daniel Chopra each way :(
Unfortunately at the Masters it's very unusual to get a rank outsider inside the top 5 - more often than not the top spots are filled by the big names as this ends up being one of the true tests of golf. Thankfully because of the form of a certain Mr Woods we are getting a good few points extra to the prices of everyone else. I'm going for Els 19/1, Stenson 38/1 and for a bit of value Weir 180/1. Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: Graham C on April 02, 2007, 04:58:34 PM Right, so far I'm backing Donald at 75 and Howell III at 55 both to win and also Chad Campbell for a top 5 at 26.
That's ma lot :) Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: bobby1 on April 02, 2007, 05:12:32 PM Hi Silo,
This site has golf tips each week. Where it says page updates at the mo. http://www.tour-tips.com/ Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: crip17 on April 02, 2007, 05:30:04 PM i won quite a few bob on tiger last week at 5-2 what a great price also had Adam Scott at 10s. I make more from golf betting than i do from poker lol.
I got Tiger for the masters before last week at a gd price as he played poorly the week before. His all round game is just about near perfection. His putting last week was exemperely. I also have luke donald as top european and ew. Due a big performance from him in a major Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: boldie on April 04, 2007, 11:13:02 AM Tiger will piss this...but the Racing post usually gives a couple of good price EW contenders @33-1+
Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: Karabiner on April 05, 2007, 01:02:56 AM Although Tiger is no doubt a worthy favourite, 7/4 is of no interest to me.
My modus operandum is to go for value outsiders and trade(hopefully) in running to green out. I'm on Stricker @ 325(tipped by Chapman and now 220ish), Choi @ 220, Baddeley @ 180, Casey @ 55, Poulter @ 300 and D.Howell @ 230. Hoping to get a decent run out of a couple of them at least, I love The Masters. Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: Colchester Kev on April 05, 2007, 01:04:26 AM I like Casey at 55 .... i wouldnt take 500 on poulter though.
Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: Horneris on April 05, 2007, 02:05:04 AM Just had some little bets:
Allenby @ 70-1 Immelman @ 80-1 Bryant @ 620-1 and a slightly bigger bet on Ogivly at 40-1 Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: totalise on April 05, 2007, 02:28:02 AM im all over tiger for this, with a token bet on luke donald to plod his way into an each way position.
Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: totalise on April 05, 2007, 02:43:18 AM and from what i can see.. if you go to www.masters.org it has live webcast of the driving range and amens corner all day every day, and an extra hour of full coverage before it gets on TV.

If memory serves they do coverage of "Amen Corner", it's still in my favourites from last year. Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: booder on April 05, 2007, 11:24:11 AM little flutter on...........

It turns out that I actually placed £3 on Tim Herron @1000 ::) Wouldn't it be amusing if he won, drinks for all at BB4 if he does  Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: matt674 on April 05, 2007, 11:51:59 AM I placed a small wager late last night when not feeling any pain on what I thought was Rich Beem. Stenson Casey Donald though Woods should win this comfortably Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: chrisbruce on April 05, 2007, 06:49:27 PM I am on Paul Casey at 50-1
I laid tiger after his recent win heavily at 2.56 but have bottled it and settled at 2.80 for a a small profit. bought my first set of golf clubs with the winnings fter when Nick faldo won this years ago. £5 on at 33-1 the year Greg Norman had a stinking last round! However on the plus side I'm glad I got rid of two thirds of my Casey bet @ 34 before he'd stuck a ball, leaving me with the final third @ around 100 if you know what I mean. Title: Re: Masters 2007 Post by: LeKnave on April 08, 2007, 10:25:40 PM Some great golf being played,
