Title: 6 or 10 seater cash games?
Post by: vampitup on October 04, 2005, 12:04:23 PM
I have solely played 10 seater tables since I started playing NL cash - but am now thinking of moving to 6 seater games.  Because I am a tight player (flops seen <10%) I find unless i flop a few monsters in raised pots its hard to get paid on 10 seaters.  I know if I switch to 6 seaters I can play slightly looser which may be a way forward...

What do people play on here, and why do they prefer it?

Although I do play 9 or 10 seater STT, I prefer playing the 6-seater versions. This is mainly because quite often I find the 9/10 seaters very slow, with players taking a long time to act.

In the 6-seater STT's you need to adjust your game by lowering your starting requirements and therefore playing more hands. I have found that this has improved my game, as you're forced to make more pre-flop decisions and make better reads post-flop.

I also like playing the short-handed MTT's online.
