Title: Leeds £50 Freezout Post by: AceofWands on October 04, 2005, 10:26:15 PM Just a reminder for anyone who is interested that it is the monthly £50 freezeout at the Gala in Leeds this coming Friday (7th Oct).
I think also tomorrows usual £5 all-in fest is cancelled. I'm coming to Leeds, but I'm off to watch Serenity with some mates, hmmm I need to hatch a cunning plan to give my friends the slip, but then still let them crash at my house.

The rest of the time one of the players on each table deals under the inducement of a free meal. The KO is 8.45. The last one sold out well before kick off though. You can pay in advance at the casino cash desk. BTW who the *&$^ is Serenity LOL Ace of Wands ac Title: Re: Leeds £50 Freezout Post by: 4dam on October 05, 2005, 02:32:10 AM just got back from the £20 re buy and there is only 22 places sold so far and it now holds 77 so no need to rush think it will sell out a hour or two b4 ko on the night

Just a few questions if anyone can help me. Is it newbie friendly? Or should I go to a lower buyin tourny for my 1st live game? Do you have to deal? thanks in advance. Title: Re: Leeds £50 Freezout Post by: 4dam on October 06, 2005, 01:03:10 AM u should not have to deal one of the players will normally do it and its fairly newbie friendly but your prob best to start by playing on sunday afternoons £5 re buy for a couple of weeks to get a feel of the place.

No you won't have to deal unless you want to. Most people are patient with newbies. All you have to remember is: Don't act out of turn If you want to raise or bet say what you want to do before you move any chips Move the button in turn Title: Re: Leeds £50 Freezout Post by: Pontecarlo on October 06, 2005, 09:25:38 AM i may be going to this as well - adam, ace and acid please come up and introduce yourself , before the event i will probably be sat with mr and mrs nun during the event i am normally found very close to the nun giving her my chips
