Title: Has Anyone Been On A Cruise With Poker Tables - Not A Specific Poker Cruise
Post by: fruitypro on April 08, 2007, 04:56:36 PM
My dad was interested in going on a cruise and as a poker enthusiast, he wanted one where you could play NLHE on the boat.  The websites/brochures of each company are pretty sketchy so I wanted to know if anyone here had been on a cruise which had NLHE on it - but not a specific poker cruise though.

Info much appreciated.

Yeah we went with P+O,

But the poker was a waste of time tbh, One table, a sign up sheet with a minimum number of ppl needed to begin, but we never got to that number so i didnt get a game there.  U might be luckier though.

The only cruises I've found poker games on are the specific poker cruises.  There was an interest list on a non-poker cruise I went on in the games room but I never saw a game get started.

Apparently a few cruises are now offering poker in their casino area but I'm told that the rake drop is prohibitive.

Not sure if you've looked at the poker cruises, or have been put off by the sound of them, but they're bog-standard cruises with a card room area made available so any non-card players are still fully catered for.  I've got a review of a trip I did on here somewhere - I'll dig it out.
