Title: The Girl is not a Guy...... Post by: tikay on April 08, 2007, 11:39:55 PM Apologies to the Cardroom Supemo at Brighton Rendezvous, who I several times referred to last week as "Guy". Young "Guy", whom I have every reason to suspect may indeed be female, beat the living daylights out of me last night for my error.
Her name is in fact Gar-young Tang, & now she has married, it's Gar-young Tang-Riley - some moniker that! Of Hong Kongian descent, she has lived in the UK all her life, (about 18 years I'd guess....), & has now married an Irish gar - sorry, guy. Seriously, it's amazing how she has grown in stature these last 12 months. When I first met her, it was real "would not say boo to a goose" stuff, but she's come on a bomb. Duribg this weeks Brighton Fessie, she addressed a full cardroom - without a microphone - each night, & certainly made herself heard, & understood, by power of voice & personality. She was pressed by many to amend the structure - persuasively but politely by me, less politely by some others, but she held her ground - "next time, maybe, this time - no!". The WSOP-E will be having Super Satellite Qualifiers at Brighton Rendezous, & blonde wish all involved every success. The current Brighton Hot-Shot is Chopper Flush, so you'll presumably hear plenty of noise about these WSOP-E Super Sats. Title: Re: The Girl is not a Guy......
