Title: Titanpoker Banners Post by: TonyG on October 05, 2005, 02:26:54 PM There was a lot of talk about the banner yesterday that appeared on the blondepoker forum. Most of it was negative, its great that we can all talk about this and express our views. We had an offer from TitanPoker that seemed very reasonable and of great value. The condition was that anyone from blondepoker that clicked to titan poker via the banners located anywhere on blondepoker. and deposited $20 is eligible to play in this free roll. There was some talk how is this a free roll if you have to deposit $20? The entry is free to this event and the prize pool is $5000 added plus $25 re-buys no juice. There is also a bounty on El Blondie and me of $500 each. I suggested that you deposit $25 so that everyone will have a re-buy me and dave will not be able to do re-buys. This should be a great tournament with real huge value for all. It is a free roll since there is no entry but any room does not want to allow kids or non players to play free rolls. So there is that restriction I am sorry about the fact that you have to deposit $20 to the site to be on the list. If in general the blondepoker community feels that we should not promote these sort of events via the forum please express your views in this thread. Blondepoker does not endorse Titanpoker we hope to have these type of great value and fun tourneys in the future from all the sites. In fact we are close to doing a huge free roll with partypoker I hope that this will be $10,000 added event on Novemebr 5th (90% confirmed). I came in to this community to help it grow even more and become the best and biggest, I have a lot of contacts to all poker rooms because I run http://www.pokernews.com/. I intend to play in all Blondpoker tourneys and make them bigger all the time. I am currently in charge of building a brand new inteface and live update client and would like everybody to help out while we do this. We plan to let everyone comment on the home page layout and give us advice on what else we can include in the new site. I hope that there is support in general from all blondites and some understanding when we try to promote events. Sadly the Titan free roll is in danger of being cancelled and we need to get at least 30 people registered by the 10th of October for it to go ahead at 21.00GMT on the 14th of october So far we have 11 people entered in the free roll. It will not be possible to register to this free roll in the last minute. So if you want this one to go ahead please set up your account via this link: http://banner.titanpoker.com/cgi-bin/SetupCasino.exe?member=pnewsaff&profile=blond it will work and you will be on the list within 48 hours, there is no need to get a password you will be able to register in scheduled tournaments section or your nick will be entered automatically. We can make this a real big success and get value out of this site. Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: -bw- on October 05, 2005, 02:35:05 PM You've got my support
I dont have a problem with the banners, I especially liked the Tikaypoker one myself ;) I will now register through the link, hopefully others will do the same Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: maruxz on October 05, 2005, 02:43:23 PM One banner is ok on the forum with me. I guess somebody needs to pay hte wages for the live reports so I hope that you get some income from theose banners even though I am alergic to them. The Titanpoker free roll is huge value and I am inn as of today, what a site I can try to knock out two great players in one day.
Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Rod Paradise on October 05, 2005, 02:46:54 PM I think the main problem was it just appeared, so it looked like someone had done a Spam deal. When things just happen there will be a million different theories on where it came from & the reason behind it.
There's also some concern that the Blonde online tourneys will become forced signups to sites that make offers (I don't for a minute believe that's right - but unannounced 'join here to play ina Blonde Tourney' banners will lead people to that conclusion). I've a home game to play that night, so can't play anyway - but good lick with the promotion now we know what it's about. PS Re banners - those of us who access the forum from work have a harder time hiding our skiving with them. ;) Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: tikay on October 05, 2005, 02:50:57 PM We will get PLENTY of runners for this. But we don't generally start talking about them until a week or so before the event, otherwise peeps just forget. I will remind you all at the right time, & we'll have a ball. Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Royal Flush on October 05, 2005, 02:52:45 PM ty for the explanation Tony.
Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: tikay on October 05, 2005, 02:53:24 PM Thsnks Rod. The "banners on blonde Forum" issue is far more complicated a problem than it seems at first sight, but I'll fill you all in with the details later. Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Robert HM on October 05, 2005, 02:57:15 PM Thanks TonyG, that makes it a lot clearer now. We just couldn't understand why the Titan site was being oushed like that.
Anyway I am already in and have played a little there already. If people have a spare $20 dollars it can simply be lent to the site, who may offer you an additional $10 for putting in cash (NOW!!), that will help also cover the cost of a rebuy if you desire. Don't, like we always seem to do, leave it to the last minute or you can't get registererd, it took until the next day for me. Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: The Truth on October 05, 2005, 03:02:09 PM very clear and transparent explanations which i hope makes everyone happy. ANYTHING that allows Blonde to continue to provide EXCELLENT free updates in the manner that they do is ok in my book.
Tikay & team do a great job. Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: -bw- on October 05, 2005, 03:03:54 PM just registered, a bit wierd with the live support pop-up thing
although the girl seemed nice made a deposit, got the extra $10 but it wont let me register for the blonde tourney yet perhaps I need to leave it a while? Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Robert HM on October 05, 2005, 03:05:49 PM You will probably get the email tomorrow. I registered on a Sunday aftrernoon and got the go ahead the following morning.
Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: -bw- on October 05, 2005, 03:10:02 PM Thankyou Sir Robert ;)
Title: PAYING OUR WAY AS MEMBERS Post by: robyong on October 05, 2005, 03:29:49 PM The blondpoker forum has got bigger and more successful recently, and I guess this extra trafiic and demand for live updates has increased IT costs, Employee Costs, Travel Costs etc. These need to be paid for between the members and external advertisers, unless we believe the Fairy Godmother will donate us a few quid!
However, what has make this site different from some of the others, is the community feel it has developed. I know the help I am receiving for the Live Poker Club has been outstanding and has cost me nothing. The people on this site have been so helpful its restoting my faith in human nature! So that the Blondepoker site can continue to develop, us as members should: Divert a small portion (or more) of our internet play (which we already give direct to the poker sites anyway) through Blondepoker. For example, If we sign up and play online on Prima Poker through Blonde, it costs us NO MORE that playing directly through Bet365, and we are HELPING our site improve. and Blondepoker management should; Prevent the site from becoming like the others, blazened in banners and offers. I'm sure both parties want to do this and as long as a couple of Blondites can get involved in the decision making process, as representitives of the members, I am sure everyone will pull together. Cheers Rob Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Karabiner on October 05, 2005, 03:47:36 PM Thanks for the explanation, but could someone please tell me who Titanpoker are. Before I download it I would just like to know if they are a skin or a stand-alone poker outfit. *prp *prp *prp *prp *prp Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: tikay on October 05, 2005, 03:55:00 PM Someone will answer your Titan question Karabiner. While you are waiting, have a look at the Live Update thread, re the Honours Board here at Baden. You know any of those guys? Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: byronkincaid on October 05, 2005, 03:55:15 PM i think titan are the same people who did noble and then sold it to empire, thus stand alone.

Never doubted you guys for a minute :)up Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: RED-DOG on October 05, 2005, 04:19:34 PM O, IC, ty TG.
Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Robert HM on October 05, 2005, 05:09:48 PM O, IC, ty TG. Now how about translating that into Lithuanian, then into English ;D Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Dewi_cool on October 05, 2005, 05:14:36 PM I am sure I am one of the negative ones in as far as the Titan banner is concerned.
It was probably because 1) I was not expecting it 2) If we are to have any advertising lets have World class poker site for a World class forum (although I realise that it is not that easy) l Thanks TonyG for the explaination that is I believe all that was required, if someone had said two days in advance' this is going to happen' and 'this is why this is happening' or 'what do you think about this?'I doubt if there would have been any negativity. I wholeheratedly agree with Rob's post We have here a special community, lets not spoil it with a lot of commercialisim, however if we have to find funding etc let's involve everyone in the decision making process. And if having banners is the answer then so be it, however lets evaluate all options before going there. Cheers Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Robert HM on October 05, 2005, 05:17:48 PM Agree with you to an extent Dewi, but it's not our costs we are trying to recoup, it them lot upstairs.
Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: maruxz on October 05, 2005, 05:31:52 PM O, IC, ty TG. Now how about translating that into Lithuanian, then into English ;D Why to Lithuanian? Are you telling that 'O, I see, thank you Tony G.' is not clear enough in English? :) Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Robert HM on October 05, 2005, 05:32:57 PM yes, but I have been known to *try* to crack a joke once in a while ;D
Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Karabiner on October 05, 2005, 05:37:24 PM Or as they say in Lithuania "WHOOOOOOSH" *prp *prp *prp *prp *prp Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: TonyG on October 05, 2005, 05:41:27 PM Who is Titan Poker?
To be honest I do not really know who owns the company but I do know the people that run the advertising for it. They are Michael & Joshua of traffic sales LTD in Israel. I have been to there offices and they seemed to be very nice and genuine guys. Traffic sales did own Noble Poker and sold it for $40 million to empire poker network. This has spread a rumor that empire poker may switch away from the partypoker network. So I do have a direct contact with them and if there are any problems I will try to sort it out myself. There are several skins in this network which is called Ipoker Network. When will your name be on the list for the free roll? It can take up to 48 hours but if you are not on the list after that please email us at blondepoker and it will be sorted. It is important that you do hit the link from the home page banner or this link: http://banner.titanpoker.com/cgi-bin/SetupCasino.exe?member=pnewsaff&profile=blond the last thing in that url is =blond that is the tracking details that enables them to know about where you came from. 3. I would like everyone to know that Blondepoker will receive a fee for setting this free roll up. And we plan to use some of that money to build a live tournament report system and a brand new website. This is my are of expertise and I invite anyone that has knowledge and would like to help to contact me via personal message. we may have a position for you. The main thing for me is that we will build the new site for everyone and will consult everyone about how we need the site to look so that we can be the best community and bring benefits to all members. One point is very important that was made that yes if you download a pokersite via blondepoker we will receive a part of your rake and in the plans is that we would give part of that rake back to you on top of that we hope that we can help you win online as well. Please keep the questions coming Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: TonyG on October 05, 2005, 05:44:22 PM One important thing that I forgot to add is that I know nerly everybody in the online poker industry and you can ask me about anyone or anything.

a few small problems that might need fixing first is blondes problem and that is certain members of the public (including me) cant see the banner due to the exe hidden behind it and therefore have no knowledge of the tourny or any knowledge of where to download the software from the second problem is my problem and that Ipoker network the last time i tried to register for a skin on Ipoker they told me i couldn't as i already had accounts on 2 of there skins not telling me what skins or what name (i guess one is ironside as i try and use that first) this too could cause a problem for newbies trying to register if the customer support isnt fully briefed on the event and willing to push the extra mile to make sure anyone that wants to play can play Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: TheStudent on October 05, 2005, 07:21:33 PM There was a lot of talk about the banner yesterday that appeared on the blondepoker forum. BTW: congrats on winning the Euro 2005 European Poker Championship. :)up Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: byronkincaid on October 05, 2005, 07:42:42 PM Quote you can ask me about anyone or anything. cheers ben Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: TonyG on October 05, 2005, 09:29:54 PM My nick on partypoker is: therealtonyg (I do not play much there at the moment)
If you download from the link provided and deposit you will be entered in the free roll within 48 hours. Good Idea we can run some kind of event pokernews vs blondepoker If your browser does not allow pop ups then you need to enable it so that you can download the software. Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Karabiner on October 06, 2005, 01:48:48 PM OK I'm in now, went via OE rather than firefox no probs. Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: Scottish Dave on October 06, 2005, 02:08:23 PM Thanks Tony, your explaination is much appreciated.
I feel kind of bad now, since i think my post was the first negative post regarding the Titan poker banner. :'( :'( But now you have explained, its a lot clearer. Unfortunately tho, i have the same home game as Rod and wouldnt be able to play, plus i dont have the spare cash the set up new accounts, as i cant get my money out of betfair, as theres something wrong with my NETeller account, transactions have been pending for 3 weeks now???? Cheers Dave Title: Re: Titanpoker Banners Post by: byronkincaid on October 07, 2005, 11:56:38 PM Tony I noticed on another thread you said you played loads of $1000 sngs. I tried to check your stats on Poker Prophecy (I know I'm a nosey git) and they have nothing under the name therealtonyg. Have you changed your name since you played there?
