Title: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: dpommo on October 06, 2005, 01:31:19 AM I'm playing a £5 freezout (home game) next week and am looking for someone to back me. My results are pretty awful, but all the money I have lost is not down to me, only blind luck. I only want 10% of myself, as lets be fair, 10% of nothing isn't a lot.
Anyone interested pm me :) Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: Sunday8pm on October 06, 2005, 01:34:52 AM lol

HOWEVER IF YOU WISH TO ENTER A £2 MULTI WE MIGHT CONSIDER IT I CANT BELIEVE THAT THEY HAVE A PICTURE OF DUBAI O0 Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: byronkincaid on October 06, 2005, 05:14:54 PM Lots of people laughed at Raymer when he asked for backing. As he said to them he wasn't aiming the request at people who didn't know him, it was more an easy way of letting his friends know and decide if they wanted to or not without having to ask them all individually.
As an aside I think 2+2 has gone downhill since they let a load of posters become mods, people have been banned for saying things in completely unconnected chatrooms, some mods have seemed to become power crazed and other people start polls about whether they should be sacked or not. Funniest was when one hugely respected poster got so annoyed with a mod that he threatened to travel to Las Vegas to kick the crap out of him. Although amusing I do hope that it doesn't happen here. There's a very nice atmosphere here ATM. Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: Heid on October 06, 2005, 05:16:40 PM I can think of much better reasons to travel to Vegas :)
Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: ariston on October 06, 2005, 05:24:13 PM There's a very nice atmosphere here ATM. Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: Royal Flush on October 06, 2005, 05:27:55 PM I hate to say it, but i agree with Ariston.
Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: Thrapton on October 06, 2005, 05:31:33 PM Ariston, I dont get involved in slanging matches only discussions. We dont want to end up in a world where dissenting voices are blocked or locked. :)up
Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: byronkincaid on October 06, 2005, 05:39:13 PM the point which i very poorly made was that locking threads and deleting posts will possibly just lead to more slanging matches. anyway that's all i've got to say about this.
Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: Colchester Kev on October 06, 2005, 05:43:54 PM Afternoon Thrap old chap :) The way we do things here are slightly different to a lot of other places, we try and keep this place a flame free, spam free, and abuse free forum .... debate is welcomed, provided it is kept in the spirit of the forum ... You are very welcome to post your opinions, Welcome to the forum ..and see you on the tables :)
Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: londonpokergirl on October 06, 2005, 05:45:43 PM Well my friends on here know who they are, and thanks for the good comments and PMs
I put the thread on because in 3 weeks, my bankroll took a $6000 battering online from about 70 badbeats in a row when you are so far in front its not funny , Brighton is my stomping ground and have won on a weekly basis down there. Last week I took the decision to play live games and see what I could do to turn the situation around and found that my play is exactly the same and ended £1200 up so know that online was the demon and its now turning around the right way THANK GOD I know of lots of big name players who've had to remortgage the house at one point or another to keep playing poker, so for all the idiots who thought you were big to say i'll have £3 or buy you into a multi table then thinkagain, and I hope that you are at my table in Brighton, and i'll wipe that big smile off your face, YOUR CHIPS ARE MINE !!! Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: ericstoner on October 06, 2005, 05:56:40 PM Well put mel, I was waiting to see when you'd come out fighting.
I hope you manage to make it down to the merina next week, you do add some fun to the table, and your results last time speak volumes ^-^ Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: RED-DOG on October 06, 2005, 06:00:53 PM Isn't fighting the thing we are trying to avoid.........
Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: Royal Flush on October 06, 2005, 06:02:15 PM I put up a post on the other thread just as it got locked.
I basically said, i hope Mel gets a backer, but also said she was a bit naieve if she didnt think she would get a ribbing! Mel hope to see you next week! Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: ericstoner on October 06, 2005, 06:09:28 PM Dog: I did'nt mean it literally..........as you know
THE PEN IS MIGHTIER THAN THE SWORD. Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: RED-DOG on October 06, 2005, 06:14:48 PM Lol, I know, but we are also trying to avoid virtual fighting
No offence Eric Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: The_nun on October 06, 2005, 06:39:29 PM All in all It is very sad that Mel had to post a response at all, as, like we are all aware, this Forum does have something special going for it. We pride ourselves on the friendly atmosphere that it generates and the amount of Friends we have all gained. Sometimes folk speak (type)..before they think of the consequencies it may have on the receiver, I am sure, being the Blondites that we are, we can put this to the back of our Forum and continue forward the way in which we have been doing over the past months, Respecting each other both on the tables and in the Forum.
Title: Re: Anyone interested in buying shares? Post by: snoopy1239 on October 06, 2005, 07:01:31 PM I agree. It's probably best to let this drop into the basement now and move on.
